What do you really hate shopping for?

Shoes. The sizing numbers seem to be completely random and if it's a shoe that actually fits, it's $50 out of my price range.

Grocery shopping, probably because everything's so damned expensive. The odd thing is that I love to cook, which is a wee bit difficult if I don't buy the ingredients first.

Houses. When I was house-hunting I literally bought the first house I found. I lucked out since it is a great house in a convenient location.

Clothes, because I have no fashion sense. I mix colors, patterns, stripes oblivious to whether something clashes or not. When I was married, I let my wife choose what I looked good in.

I LOVE to shop. It's the PAYING that sucks.

I think the absolute worst thing to shop for is health insurance. It's impossible to figure out, impossible to get straight answers about what's covered and what's not, and then once you've committed, they completely change the terms.

I just wear clothes I'm comortable in, as for colours my waredrobe is mostly Blacks, Blues, Reds and White.

I don't have to worry about it as much anymore since I can't work, am usually here in the apartment 23 hours a day, and have to do most of my clothes shopping at Goodwill these days. ;) I don't even own a tie or sport jacket anymore.

Not a specific thing I hate shopping for, but I can't stand shopping anywhere salespeople follow you around insisting on "helping," or when they ambush you the moment you walk in the door. Furniture and appliance salespeople are the absolute worst.

Also: Hats.

Specifically, baseball caps. I wear a size 8 1/2 and it is a sumbitch to find caps in my size. I can't get them from ballparks or even New Era direct anymore. :brickwall:

I hate shopping for clothes. Mostly it's the trying something on, finding out it doesn't fit, and trying something else on. It's just so time-consuming and boring.

I don't mind shopping for shoes so much because (a) I know a men's size 13 will always fit me, and (b) I buy all my footwear at Payless Shoe Source, which is cheap and doesn't employ salespeople. I mean, do I really need someone to help me try on shoes? I'm a grownup and I can tie my own laces, thank you.

Shoes. I have had my feet measured multiple times, my feet are not "wide" according to that measuring thingie, and yet most wide-width shoes are not wide enough for my feet with their high arch and high pronation. Women's shoes, I mean. Men's shoes I can wear a regular width no problem. So mostly I wear flip-flops in the summer (fit better than slide or strap sandals) and men's sneakers in the winter. This has gotten worse in the past few years, and I'm not sure why.
