What do we know about...

JarodRussell

Vice Admiral
Admiral
... the current state of our universe?

Since we're limited in our observations of the universe to the speed of light, we can only watch the Andromeda galaxy in its state 2.5 million years ago, for example. Heck, if we look at a galaxy, then the front end is 100,000 years closer to us than the back end.

Are there any extrapolations as to how our universe and our night sky would look like if the speed of light was infinite?

By that I am guessing you mean what it would look like in real time?

Well, define "Real Time", and by who are you defining it.

Plank Time would be the best measurement of the fastest speed possible. What is that 10^43 m/s or something like that?

He means that we'd see everything instantly, as it is happening, without having to wait for that information to travel across the cosmos. So if a star 20 million lightyears away got nova today, I will see it today. I won't have to wait 20 million years for the light to get here.

Pretty sure we know what he 'means', were just messing with him. The unierse would be a vastly different yet somehow similar landscape.

Wow, excuse me for trying to make the question a bit clearer. Your Brilliant.
