My sister's birthday yesterday, we went out for dinner. I had bread and olives for starter, served with balsamic vinegar and warm virgin olive oil. For my main I had a mixed grill, cumberland sausages, steak, gammon, lamb, eggs, peas, chips and battered onion rings that were nearly as big as the plate and which my nephew, Jake, absolutely loved. For dessert I had a pistachio parfait which was served on a chewy chocolate brownie base.
