What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

My roommate situation has undergone a drastic, welcome, and wonderful change over the past there months. I still live with the 6 foot 4 gay Trekkie, but the crazy raver bitch and creepy hermit are gone and replaced by two lovely young ladies. One of them, Italian and direct from Florence, made spaghetti tonight. They really do know how to do food, those Italians.

That definitely sounds like an upgrade. :D

I had dinner at a friend's - we cooked a lamb ragu thing with artichoke hearts.

While waiting for that to cook, we polished off a nice Vouvray and tried it with some of the left-over artichoke, just to see if the pairing worked. Artichoke is notoriously tricky to pair, but to my taste, I thought the Vouvray went well with it.

I had a Prime Rib Steak Melt at Denny's yesterday afternoon after the hockey game and then Chicken Wings last night after bowling league.

Pizza with a little pasta thrown in for good measure. Nothing complicated...as a bachelor who lives by himself my cooking skills are rarely called on and not terribly good. But I manage.:p

I made a homemade chix soup w/ veggies. Really quite awful - it's why the hubs usually insists on cooking . . . although not really complaining about that! :techman:

For dinner last night we had pork chops. Tender, juicy, grilled pork chops marinated in "butter" and garlic seasoning. We also had mashed potatoes, corn and peas. Quite frankly, my pork chops are so delicious I could get Jesus to eat them at the Last Supper.

A large wrap, with spinach falafel, cherry tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, finely chopped carrots, almonds, and raisins, fresh apple slices, and garlic mayonnaise. Definitely have to do that one again.

Take-and-bake pizza from Figaro's. Was delicious.

I'm of the opinion that the best pizza is the pizza that's <5 minutes out of the oven. The specific brand of pizza is secondary.
