What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

Verrrrry hot chili (we're talking 4 big, ripe scotch bonnets). Can't wait until October, then it'll be naga jolokia time (if my plants survive that long, I've never grown any kind of pepper before and I don't know what kind of nutrients or care they need, can anyone chime in with some tips if they've grown them successfully before?).

Omlette du Frommage! That's about the only remotely French-ified cuisine I know . . . .

Roast beast. Tomorrow I'll make the best damn stew anyone ever tasted with the leftover. YUM!

"Roast Beast" - Brilliant! :techman: I'm making beef stew this weekend, as well.

Is it just me, or does anyone else recall that old Steve Martin bit whenever they hear "Omelette du Frommage"? ;)

TREKKIEMONSTER I was thinking of Cartoon Network's Dexter who had an episode involving Omlette du Frommage! I had no idea SM did it first - will have to hunt it down on teh interweb!

It's like those French have a different word for everything! -SM

Not been online much due to a nasty virus and something crappy with my hardware, taking the computer back this morning though hopefully to exchange it. Anyways I had three slices of pizza for dinner last night along with pepsi.

^funny story - a friend was given a decorative chili plant with teeny chilis for a housewarming gift at the housewarming party. It was full of tiny red chilis. We re-visited the recipient and noticed the chili plant was bare. I asked what happened to the chilis - he very innocently and hilariously answered - we ate them! I told him it was a hybrid plant only meant to decoration - he said he wondered why they seemed tasteless!

back to last night - shrimp fried rice and hot-sour soup and egg roll- takeout. no cooking in my house last night!

I roasted a chicken and made stuffing (boxed, don't be impressed), spinach, cranberry sauce (canned) and rolls (from a tube). Except for when i make stew, soup or chili i can't really be bothered with a whole lot of "real" cooking.

Last night was the Leftover Spectacular. A mish mosh of baked veggie ziti, roast turkey, and beef and barley soup.

It's just that certain..."I don't know what." :guffaw:

Last night I had a burger at Famous Dave's. Very delish.

I made a nice soup: brown rice, green beans, sweet peas, asparagus, carrot, celery, daikon, zucchini, tofu, dill, and parsley all fresh from the market. It turned out beautifully.
