    Lots of rose champagne.

I think there was food too.

I'm pondering skipping a proper dinner and just eating chocolate and sweets. How terrible is that?

As long as the chocolates have fruit fondant centres, it's nutritionally balanced. Go for it.

Oh dear, if I have an intolerance to most fruits, can I be excused for eating chocolates with no nutritional value at all?

The chocolates won't like you talking about them like that behind their back. :(

Hubby grilled up some beef satays we picked up at Whole Foods.

    Damn, they were good!

Don't be silly, you think with chocolates near me there would be any left? I leave no survivors.

Tonight I indulged in a delicious mac & cheese dish from a local restaurant. I'm sure it was all butter and cream and cheese but I don't care! I'm sure I burned it all off while I was on the elliptical, studying ... :shifty:

We went to Bobby's Burger Palace at Mohegan Sun, and I had the Dallas Burger -- "spice-crusted" burger with some kind of cheese (I forget), bbq sauce, coleslaw and pickles. It was okay. After the first bite, all I could taste was "spice-crusted".

Homemade huevos rancheros, they were excellent. Got my wife a simple weeknight dinner cookbook and this was the first thing we tried. We'll be trying more recipes soon.

Last night, I made Parmesan chicken, mac and cheese and salad with black cherry dressing. Was pretty darn good, actually.

I made honey-mustard pork tenderloin in the slow cooker, and mac & cheese. It's 8:30 am and the leftovers are calling to me...

I could never get anything to cook in a slow cooker right. It never turns out well.

We had Polynesian inspired chicken and pineapple over brown rice.

A thoroughness to be applauded. :D

I didn't have any dinner last night apart from a bit of ice-cream, because I really overate hugely earlier in the day. I had a magnificent lunch - a smashing smoked salmon salad accompanied by a refreshing Alsation Pinot Blanc, and then probably the best roast fillet of beef I've ever had, with sauteed Jersey Royals and purple sprouting broccoli, paired with a smashing full-bodied and dense Cote-Rotie. Rhubarb crumble with a light custard for dessert.
