....last night I had Long John Silvers Tilapia Smart Choice meal, $4.99

 

The mention of moussaka up thread got me in a Greek mood, and I made Souvlaki last night, With a proper Greek salad, of course (no lettuce), using The Hubby's tomatoes and fresh oregano, and the mom-in-law's cucumbers and peppers.



If I do say so, myself.

 

Tacospiced meat with tacosauce, salad and cottage cheese.
Skipped all the tacoshells/nachos/soft tortillas...

 

Salmon patty, spinach salad and mint ice cream.

 

Beer + Bangers & Mash with Onion Gravy + Bread & Butter Pudding with Cream = Happy Holdfast.

 

That isn't some kind of weird sausage is it? I know how you Brits like to keep us confused when it comes to "pudding".

 

For the first time in my life I ordered Macaroni & Cheese in a restaurant. It was damn good.

 

You don't want to know what the "cream" is code for....


You guys don't have bread & butter pudding? You poor deprived souls. It's like the most awesomest comfort food ever. The one I had yesterday was made with dates rather than sultanas or raisins, but the recipe would otherwise have been similar.

Make sure you serve it with more single cream, for added lusciousness.

Bread and butter pudding is awesome. We had curried chicken and rice with naan bread for dinner.

 

Sausage, potatoes, and onions diced and mixed into a hash, broccoli and carrots with cheese sauce, cantalope, and a salad.

Holdfast, over here we just call that bread pudding and call it good.

 

Rice.

 

My mother roasted a turkey breast with turnips, carrots, zucchini, and yellow squash in honey -- it was delectable. I love visiting mom!

Mom's cooking is always the best. We turned the rest of the dinner into a sweet soup, it's delicious.

 

Last night I had a Weight Watchers Tuna Noodle Gratin, and raspberry yogurt with grapes.

 

KFC. Had some Tai food the other night. Soooo good.

 

First it's Kentucky GRILLED chicken, and now they server Tai food too? My whole world is falling apart!

 

haha, no, the Thai food wasn't from KFC, it was from a place called Thai Express. I just threw it in there because it just seems like every single time I find this thread and post in it, I always happen to have KFC or Wendy's and wanted to make sure people didn't think I was a heavy junk food eater, lol.
