What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

Went to Montana's again and had the same Grilled Steak Sandwhich with mashed potato's yum.Marble cake from Safeway for desert.

Last night was a mix of Sainbury's and Marks & Spencer... I don't know what I'm going to do when I go home. :(
What is that?

Two different grocery stores, lol. In reality, it turned out to be pasta and curry sauce from Sainsbury's, along with veggies and dessert from M&S.

It's going to be hard to adjust to not being able to walk a block out my door and into multiple little groceries with tons and tons of ready or easy to cook items, not to mention the cheap jars of curries.

We had baath, daal, tarkari, luchi (puri), begun bhaja, and a few other things.

So let's see, that's ... rice, vegetable curry?, a type of bread, fried eggplant, and other things.

And a beautiful chocolate cake for dessert, courtesy of my parents as a late anniversary celebration for my husband and I.

That looks like a fantastically delicious chocolate cake Kestra! I have been staying over at my friends place over the long weekend (civic holiday here in BC...BC Day) and so him not having any food in the place i broke down and ordered a large garlic fingers and a small pizza with chicken, mushrooms, and pepperoni. The garlic fingers were better than the pizza. I should have ordered their chicken wings, they make excellent wings.

Barbecued chicken, sweet corn and salad (all made by my friend Neva) and homemade cherry pie (made by me). I'm good at pie, if I do say so myself.

^ Is home the states? I guess you're studying in London...

Canada. Which makes the UK enough like home that it doesn't feel alien, except when it comes to the availability of food. Many of the products are similar or the same, but we pay double or triple in Canada.

I'm here all summer just on holiday, being very history and theatre nerdy. Hey, it's work related, I teach history and drama. :)

Last night was another curry, and I'm just finishing off some tea and scones. Mmmm.

You have to be the first person I've ever seen who describes anything around here as cheap... :p

So you get to hang out in the West End all the time for "work stuff"... some people lead charmed lives...:bolian:

OK, tonights dinner:

salmon teriyaki, potatoe, broccoli, spoon of low fat cottage cheese and some cucumbers.

Hey, if it works... :D

Some of the cheese I've been buying costs 3-4 times as much at home. Heck, even buying poor quality cheese is cheaper than our poor quality cheese, and tastes better. I'm thinking of become a cheese smuggler, but am not sure where on my person to put it.

Tonight was leftovers. Topped off with a post-Prom Pimm's and juice... I'd heard about Pimm's, and wanted to try it, but it's one thing I will not be smuggling into Canada.
