What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

Last night was a chuck roast, slow-cooked on a bed of red onions and potatoes and coated in spices. It started out as this:

Was put into the slow cooker like so:

And about eight hours later, it was consumed.

^ Very nice. Went to my parents where we had homemade Beef Pot Pie from scratch, with creamy mashed potatoes and Broccoli. Peanut Butter cookies for dessert.

Last night, hubby cooked dinner for me. We had grilled satays (YUM!), peas, and long grain rice. He also made a tray of brownies for dessert.

Chicken tikka masala with rooti. I'm not normally crazy about it but there's a line of sauces at the local store I wanted to try. Not bad, but more of a starter sauce I think. Needs more spices!

Had left over pizza that my brother had ordered on the weekend. It was a weird combination that had ham, mushrooms, and sour kraut. Surprisingly the latter made it taste very tangy and wasn't that bad.

We have several Indian grocery stores in my town. We love Indian food, but the fact that we can get the proper ingredients puts it over the top.

My wife makes naan as well as any restaurant I've been to.

Plus I love the fresh jalebi they sell.

Chicken soup. My mum and brother were down with flu, so it I packed it with garlic, ginger, and a lot of veggies. I had a slice of Irish soda bread on the side. Simple but delicious.

Indian Black-Eyed Peas with corn chips. I love this dish; I can make it in 10 minutes with one pot and a single teaspoon.

She probably makes it better than I do! Now I want some jalebi. It's been ages since I've had any but wedding season will start in a few months and there will be a neverending parade of sweets.

We had delicious deep-dish pizza tonight. Yum!
