What countries have you been in?

Well, if you're counting states, I was in Los Angeles in 2008. But that doesn't really count, cause my plane touched down on LAX around 8AM and i was on a plane back home at 10PM the same day. Quite frankly, I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there.
Also, I was in Atlanta and San Francisco in 2010. That time I stayed for a few days.

I counted States because I figure the majority of posters are Americans and it would be useful to distinguish us. I certainly don't think it's necessary for foreigners to count the States they've been to (just like I don't need to count Canadian provinces or Mexican states).

I would very much like to visit Canada. Not just to see the Jays, although (being on a mission to see all ballparks) I admit that is a factor. :)

Also I would like to see the UK. I have relatives who live in London.

i feel so bad about how few i've visited. i should count video games too!

Egypt, America, Russia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Libya, Bosnia, Indonesia, Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Somalia, Iran, Colombia, Peru, Holland, Brazil, Liberia (i think) ... that looks better!

England (home), Scotland, America, Canada, Hong Kong, China, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Malta...

I live in the United States, and have been to about 30 or so states.

I've been to Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, and Australia.

Since people started mentioning states... I've lived in two and been in about 36 others plus D.C. The two that I have so far missed and would most like to visit are Alaska, for the amazing scenery, and South Dakota, for the scenery and Native American history/culture.

Do you feel better now?

Homecountry: Germany

I have been to Denmark, England, Scotland, Italy, Poland, Balearen, USA (Illinois, Missouri, Kansas), New Zealand (that´s where I am at the moment).

Next countries on my list for maybe this year or next year are Ireland or Norway.

Born and raised in the USA, childhood being split between Texas and Washington.

Visited, worked, or lived in Canada, England, Ireland, Germany, Holland, Italy, Austria, France, Switzerland, Monaco, Kuwait, and Iraq at some point.

Would like to visit some part of Asia next, followed by Africa and South America eventually.

yes, thanks. i forgot Norway, Chad, Syria, DR Congo, Serbia, Burma, Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Japan and Canada, though. i might be forgetting some others, too...

you know how it is, travel the virtual world, meet simulated people and artificially kill them!

(saying that, Canada was in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and Japan in Test Drive 5, so that didn't involve killing people...)

You forgot to include the Halo ring.... :D

Hasnt' changed from this thread last year, requoting my post from there below:

Andorra- can't remember much.
Barbados - beaches and cocktails. What's not to like?
France - Paris is pretty, the Riviera is relaxing, the bits in the middle make good wine and are picturesque
Greece - my mother's country, so a sentimental attachment. Love the culture and history; alas the present is not quite as nice due to overdevelopment/pollution
India - Give it 15-30 years. Then it will be great. Too transitional at the moment.
Italy - Bad drivers, beautiful scenery and towns/cities
Japan - bizarre yet awesome. I'm fonder of it than logic should dictate.
Lichtenstein - I think I've been here. It was either here or another tiny country like San Marino... make of that what you will.
Mauritius - see Barbados. Pretty much the same thing really from a tourist perspective.
Monaco - parking lot cum casino, albeit with a view.
Spain - wanted to like it; not really my kind of vibe. Toledo was my highlight.
Turkey - see India. Still quite liked it though. Quirky, for sure
UAE (Dubai) - bad shopping mall and mediocre beach in the middle of nowhere. Cheap petrol tho'.
UK - live here; wouldn't want to emigrate, which tells you all you really need to know.
USA - my other nationality alongside British, so am naturally fond of the place. Been on holiday to a handful of states on both coasts, but was actually born in the middle. Americans have a wonderful sense of the power of words.
Vatican City - a goldmine, literal and cultural. Pretty insane, really.

The only changes are that I revisited both Italy and Greece since that post of last year. Italian drivers have improved massively from the last time I visited, and the Greeks' present general situation is a lot worse, due to the economic clusterfuck they're going through.

Thinking about visiting Prague and Vienna for a few days each at some point this year, so when this thread inevitably gets retread next year, I may have two more countries to add to the list.

i was only including locations in more realistic games. i could also include Babylon and some place in South America in Serious Sam : The Second Encounter and Kenya from Halo 2... oh, and 'unnamed Mid East country' in Modern Warfare 1...

Damn, I must've been playing those games wrong then.

ROFL.
