What comic book would you turn into a movie / franchise?

- Les Passagers du vent
- Enki Bilal's Nikopol trilogy
- The Black Order Brigade
- Orbiter
- Ronin
- Shrapnel
- Terra

Metabarons, although you'd' probably need Avatar-like money. It's sort of a comic adaption of all the crazy ideas Jodorowsky had for Dune so, full circle...

Beyond that? Dunno. Chimpanzee Complex reads like it's half-way to being a Duncan Jones low-key sci-fi film already.

- Enki Bilal's Nikopol trilogy
Dude... it's been done.

...although I don't think anyone would mind a second crack at this.

- The Black Order Brigade
That would be nice. Good excuse to get an all-star cast of aging European art film actors, probably.

Although as far as Enki Bilal goes, I'd like to see The Dormant Beast as a film.

I would like to a Spider-Man 2099 movie. I'd also like a Spider-Girl movie. Wouldn't mind a Scarlet Spider movie either. I guess I likes me my Spider-Man. :D

I think pretty much anything from the 2099 stable could make a good movie. Other than that, I'd like to see Alan Moore's Top Ten, an ensemble cop show in a city where everyone has superpowers.

I would do Fantastic Four and Green Lantern properly.

I would do a Wonder Woman movie based on George Perez's run on the series, complete with no costume redesign. (That's right! Yer gettin' the star-spangled undies and hooker boots! Deal with it.)

*wipes a tear from his eye*

I think I love you...

Not really. That movie is like calling the Stallone movie an actual adaption of Judge Dredd.

Have to agree on those counts.

Given that Namor was invented some thirty years before the Fantastic Four, I would hope he wouldn't be regarded strictly as an FF character. Sure, Marvel reintroduced him in the early issues of FF, but it's not like he was created to be an FF antagonist.

I'm pretty sure that the studio rights are held by two different studios anyway - IIRC, Fox own FF and Sony have those to Namor.

I'd like to see Namor, Preacher, Marshall Law and further attempts at Daredevil and The Phantom.

I've always been very open about the fact that I love kick ass women, so I would kill to get a Spider-Woman (I just watched the Agent of S.W.O.R.D motion comic, and I loved it), Ms. Marvel, Wonder Woman, or a Birds of Prey reboot movie.
I wonder if they'd still be able to do a Fables either TV show or movie series? Or would it be too close to Once Upon a Time? I haven't read any issues of them yet, but there are several other Vertigo series that sound like they could be really cool TV series or movies. I'd go for Y: The Last Man, Sandman, or DMZ myself.
Are they still working on that 100 Bullets show they were talking about a couple years ago?

I don't think that's a fair comparison, considering Enki Bilal wrote and directed it himself - not quite the same thing as suits dictating how Judge Dredd should work. It's true there were definitely financial issues (I believe that's the main reason the film is set in New York rather than Paris and in English rather than French), and it ain't good, but it's still him.

Definitely a film or more than one films that follow the comic's plot a lot more closely (and has some chess-boxing because come on, this is a real thing now) would be better.

the the TopCow universe could be amazing for a movie franchise as well...

you've got Witchblade, The Darkness, The Magdelana, Tomb Raider... launching them separately for movies then having crossover style movies would be amazing to watch :)

Then see what you think about this: in my vision the closing credits begin with a montage of clips showing WW beating down on some of her most famous villains and then being cheered by women everywhere, all to the tune of the old TV series theme song.

Don't judge me.

In my younger days, I envisioned a Spider-Woman live-action TV series starring Nancy Mckeon as Jessica Drew and Lisa Whelchel as Lindsay McCabe.

Again, don't judge me.

Justice League based on the Giffen/DeMatteis run from the early 90's.

I'd love to see Fantastic Four done correctly. Feature the Negative Zone with Annihilus or something in the first film with Victor Von Doom as a supporting character. Then do Dr. Doom in movie two. Then do Galactus in movie three. And hint Galactus throughout.

But focus on the family aspect of the team. That is paramount.

The Runaways.

In a smaller scale verson of what Marvel did with The Avengers, I'd like to see Luke Cage, then Iron Fist, Daughters of the Dragon and/or Alias and then finally Heroes for Hire.

Hercules/Amadeus Cho.
