What Changes Would You Like To See For "Spock’s Brain"?

AC84

Spock's logical mind and Amazonian women ruled by a fem-puter (<< Futurama injoke) are all on the chopping block this week. Is it even possible to fix this episode?

I'd watch Spock's Brain a dozen times to avoid having to watch And the Children Shall Lead one time. Sadly, the only improvements I'm expecting will be in the first act while the Enterprise is chasing down the ship fleeing with said object.

Am I the only person who would put And the Children Shall Lead in his top 15 episodes?

As for Spock's Brain, I guess there aren't too many visual effects they'll change. More shots of the E, the ion drive ship, I suppose.

I sure hope so! :D

Just kidding. Tastes and interests vary. I happen to really enjoy The Empath which many dislike. Gorgon and Army of Children annoy me beyond belief.

Dunno. I've always found "Spock's Brain" a fairly brainy piece of scifi as far as Trek goes... Absolutely no pun intended, and apparently humor wasn't the intent of the original writer, either.

Perhaps a bit of twiddling with the star system map (possibly Sulu's weird misidenficiation of the planet could be excused somehow?), and the usual treatment for the spacecraft. But my greatest visual annoyance here are the props, and it might be a bit too laborious to improve on those.

Actually, or at least the way I heard it years ago, the episode was meant as an intentional joke from the get-go.

-Add a line by McCoy, after he uses the knowledge machine, brain-surgery is so easy a caveman could do it.

-Everytime brainless Spock's body walks, "March of the Elephants" should play.

-The brain-stealing bimbo should arrive in a Klingon Bird of Prey. Because...you know...THEY ARE SO KEWL

I expect Gaseous Anomoly to start a thread in the new baked beans forum titled "Bran, bran, what is bran?"

OK, I know that there's something warnable about this combination of user name and bad pun. I just have to figure out what it is...

Good one Outpost4, good one!

I was going to say a Bird of Prey Tattoo (tramp stamp or something just peaking out by the cleavage...)

The pain belts giving out a slightly discernable electrical discharge, like the one added to Mirror, Mirror.

A new starship, the one with the Ion drive, show the glowing ion drifts behind the ship.

Energy between McCoy and the machine that teaches him, brief and not too overly done, very faint.

No surgery, I'm squeamish. But at least have a faint trace of fluid and blood on McCoys hands.

I'll think of more later, I haven't watched this episode in a long time.

 What is this Bran you speak of? I'll be turning up the gas a notch for this one!

A CGI midget who repeatedly pokes at Spock for no readily discernable purpose.
