What things do you remember from Star Trek that you felt were left unanswered or should have had a second look at?

For me the nanite planet where they left those nanites from TNG "Evolution" would love to know what they evolved into.

Also what became of the exocomps? I know Lower Decks has one in the crew but I am referencing only the live action Trek universe. I wonder how they also evolved post TNG, and if there are more of them.
