What are your unanswered Star Trek questions?

What things do you remember from Star Trek that you felt were left unanswered or should have had a second look at?

For me the nanite planet where they left those nanites from TNG "Evolution" would love to know what they evolved into.

Also what became of the exocomps? I know Lower Decks has one in the crew but I am referencing only the live action Trek universe. I wonder how they also evolved post TNG, and if there are more of them.

Did Bajor ever join the Federation and did Captain Sisko ever return? What happened to the Cardassians after the Dominion War? Did the Cardassians go through the same rebuilding process Bajor did, with Federation supervision, and eventually join the Federation?

 

What really was that thing at the center of the galaxy, and was the Great Barrier a natural phenomenon or something constructed to contain it? The creature says it has been “imprisoned…” Is that literal, or has it just been trapped there? How did it influence Sybok?
