What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

They do sometimes listen to fans. We wouldn't have SNW if fans hadn't been clamoring for a PIke series after seeing him on Discovery. Also when fans hated Discovery Klingon orcs they gave them hair again and tried to make them look like real Kingons again and basically going the whole way on SNW.

As opposed to fake Klingons?

:vulcan:

As others have noted a Pike series was already in the works before fans "clamored."

I get it; fans want to feel in control over a thing they feel passionate about but that doesn't steer the ship as much as is claimed.

Berman and Braga definitely didn't listen to the fans when the ENT theme song was given that twangy, pop-adult comtemporary-rock spin starting in Season 3. Or maybe they did. Either way, bad move. Love the theme song or hate it, but the up-tempo remix was a massive downgrade.

If one really wanted to make an argument for fan request the SNW pattern of giving Spock romantic partners and interests is certainly something they fans have expressed interest in, with all the fan mail Nimoy got over how attractive Mr. Spock was.

The S1 / S2 mix was the best one.

Despite what some others think, I really do love that theme song, it felt like it fit the mood / vibe of the show and what it was trying to encapsulate.

You can't deny how "Good Looking" Ethan Peck is.

The irony being that version of the song sounds more upbeat which clashes with the show's tonal shift that season.

I don't know about this one. I wonder if any woman who was crazy about Spock wanted to see him with another woman.

I've seen some pretty heated arguments on here about the size of the USS Enterprise NCC1701. My extremely controversial Star Trek opinion in the matter?

It's about 11 feet long or 11,000 square feet, depending on if one is referring to the model or Sound Stage 9 at Desilu Studios, respectively.

:ouch: Not trying to troll. Just attempting to lighten things up a bit. Love you guys 🖖🏻
