Just started How to Get Away with Murder. I am so far pretty disappointed.
It only goes down hill from there. Hell it goes down a fucking mountain, digs itself a hole, lights itself on fire... you get the point.
I'm almost stunned by how bad it is considering its reputation. There's a punk-ish hot girl love interest living in the same building as the handsome but unadventurous college student? I know they'll do some twists with that, but Jesus Christ is that bad and outdated writing.
Also, I get they wanted a badass lawyer, but this Annalise is so 'I'm a morally grey character who plays by my own rules' that the show is almost a spoof.
So far I'm just staying interested thanks to good pacing and lots of subplots, but not sure how long I'll continue.
I watched it the first few seasons because I like the gay Asian guy, he's cute.
The IT guy? He's great!
Just a real disappoint, especially since this is the same week I tried Suits, which just ... gah! I need a good legal drama show now I'm done with The Good Wife.
Yeah the IT guy is the best one... until he's not. Still nice too look at.The show even destroys him. It's so bad.
If you are looking for good legal comedy there is Boston Legal.
Thanks!
The Spirit written & directed by Frank Miller via Hulu.
Less than ten minutes in, I'm already bored.
I was bored the other night and decided to check out Designated Survivor on Netflix. I'm usually not one to binge more than two episodes of a given show on a given night, but holy cow! I can't stop watching this! Two nights in a row I watched six episodes, bringing me to halfway through season one already!
And, honestly, it doesn't bother me that she largely ignores her children. If I wanted to watch a show about a devoted mother spending lots of quality time with her children, I'd watch some heart-warming family drama. I want to see Mrs. Maisel cracking wise at comedy clubs, not playing Mom.
