Well, I keep waiting for it to get better. The overall tone of the series is depressing to me, and not something that I find inspiring. The theological questions aren't anything that engage me. I guess I wish it dealt more with the themes of illusion vs reality or something (like the Baltar/Six relationship), since I've not found a lot for mental exercise in it. Meditations on philosophy, which seems to be a large element of the series, is not something I usually indulge in. It's well made, but the cast is too large for me to keep track of everybody and their personal problems.
I will probably get Season 4 eventually just to see how far they get with it as a regular series, but there's nothing making me eager for any of the later stuff like Razor or Blood & Chrome.
I never would have spent this much time with the show if I'd seen it during first run, but since my only entertainment in dvds and the internet and not even access to broadcast television, I'm making spending money on it to get it in the library. I might eventually do Game of Thrones the same way, though I'm not a big fan of medieval fantasy.
