It's okay for me, but I think nothing beats the theatrical version, not even the newer edit that Coppola made. It's just more tightly edited.
Last night we watched Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, the season finale of Titans, and the newest episode of Young Justice: Phantoms.
This morning: HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL (with Vincent Price) and HORROR OF DRACULA (with Lee and Cushing).
Earlier we watched this week's Nancy Drew (very good) and Doom Patrol and hubby is now comfort watching Moonbeam City (a very silly animated show from 2015).
watching the rest of Bram Stoker's Dracula tonight. then after that Im watching Transformers Age of Extinction
Last night, we watched Rocketman. It's very much a "musical fantasy" and the director did some lovely things with that. It's the same director as Bohemian Rhapsody, and mucks about with the timeline in much the same ways for the sake of a coherent narrative (ah, if only life really had coherent narratives!), but the fantasy elements allowed him to do some really lovely things. Taron Egerton was AMAZING as Elton John. It was him more than anything that had me bawling my eyes out towards the end. Jamie Bell as Bernie Taupin was also fantastic. I'm glad I got to see it. FYI, *not* for kids! Drug use, suicide attempts, and gay sex.
On Mondays (and weekdays that I'm on vacation) I've been going to the upstairs TV while all the daywalkers in my house are at work and binging New Girl and slowly making my way through Helstrom, MODOK, Jupiter's Legacy, Sweet Tooth, the final seasons of Black Lightning, Big Hero 6 and the Ducktales reboot, season 2 of Solar Opposites and season 4 of Clone Wars on the TV with Netflix and Disney+ set up on it.
MODOK and the most recent DuckTales are awesome - nothing like having an actual Scotsman do Scrooge! What's your opinion on Helstrom, Jupiter's Legacy, and Sweet Tooth? These are all shows we've considered watching.
the few days I have left until Halloween time, i have these movies to watch the new Mortal Kombat movie original Halloween. watching the bonus features from the new collectors edition blu rays then watching the movie with one of the commentary tracks on Tubi online -The Stuff -Flesh Eating Mothers -Phenomena -Slugs
I'm only 2 or 3 episodes in to each, but I'd say Helstrom is fine (about Cloak & Dagger/Runaways level of quality for an MCU comparison), Jupiter's Legacy is very interesting (though I haven't read the comics, so I'm not sure how true to them the show stays), and Sweet Tooth is great (though I have read enough of those to know that there are differences).
earlier tonight which was Wednesday night i watched the new Mortal Kombat movie. Its actually pretty good. the actor that stars as Kano he steals the show and Kung Lao while his role was short in the movie its the only live action movie where he's in a movie and does a cool fatality
watching the Spanish version of Dracula from the Dracula Legacy Collection. From what I heard online, the Spanish version is completely different and darker than the regular U.S. dracula movie that we all know
We watched Prodigy last night. It's really good! Like all the best "kids" shows, it's safe for kids, but enjoyable by everyone. Gorgeous too. I could tell a lot of love was put into this.
