What are you watching???

^Interesting pair. "Brick" is very similar in tone to the noir films of the '30s.

Watched Defiance. How the hell is she still alive?

In addition to TOS episodes I've watched, I caught the Christopher Reeve/Morgan Freeman film "Street Smart" for the first time. (It was 'meh'....)

A 6 out of 10.

I'm planning on watching "Goodfellas" later on and maybe some TNG episodes.

(EDIT: Oh! I also watched a classic "Mission: Impossible" episode called 'Gitano.' It was oookay; not one of the strongest episodes).

Outlander. I'm surprised that I liked it. Historical romance isn't my type of thing but it's from Ron Moore and Ira Steven Behr is also on board so I tuned it. Looks like it'll have enough action and intrigue to keep me interested for now anyways. The Bear McCreary score was gorgeous.

Our dinnertime sitcom watching this week is the 1990s Linda-Bloodsworth-Thomason show "Hearts Afire", with Markie Post and John Ritter. A little too heart-warming at times for my taste, but always humorous and a with a great cast that includes Billy-Bob Thornton and Conchatta Farrell. And after all those years of Markie in a sensible business suit on Night Court, it's... just... wonderful to see her cut loose in some sexy outfits.

Major Crimes and Under the Dome...is a freaking train wreck. I can't stop watching the damn thing. It comes up with the wildest shit that really makes little to no sense.

I watched the two-parter for the "Knight Rider" pilot from the 1980s, produced and written by Glen A. Larson.

Cliched (black guy dies, and this particular black guy was Herb Jefferson - i.e. 'Boomer' - from Glen A. Larson's other show!)....cheesy dialogue...David Hasselhoff's hair...a major plot hole (so, why was Michael Long chosen to be Michael Knight? What made him so special?)

It's interesting there were two attempts to revive the franchise: Once in the 1990s, and another more recently. (Both failed).

I was thinking about watching some other episodes that had sounded interesting, but I think the pilot put me off...lol

It's interesting because I remember watching a few episodes growing up, but I don't remember exactly what episodes. It was one of those shows more popular with the kids.

I wouldn't be opposed to a darker, serious turn for the show. It 'worked' - depending on who you ask - for another remake of the aforementioned Glen A. Larson production (the one with 'Boomer').
