How many seasons has The Librarians had? On IMDB it shows 4 seasons. Did they get renewed? Also it's fun..... It's cheesy but it's fun

Not counting the original TV-movies, there have been three seasons so far, with a fourth in the works.

And did I mention that there are tie-in novels as well? :)

Oh no I can cope with shows and movies but all the extra stuff like novels I find a small turn off unless it's something I really love.

The Librarians really does feel like Doctor Who to me only swap Doctor with Librarian, and the Library is like the TARDIS.... It's bigger on the inside and such.

Oh well. For what it's worth, I'm having fun writing the LIBRARIANS books..

Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to BATES MOTEL tonight.

Ooh......... OK Librarians hey....... OK

I know it was just a cameo thing but I'd love to know how the Library captured all those time machines haha. Especially the Delorean and the TARDIS.

A baseball fight from the 80's. Things were different back then.

^ Sure was. Most baseball fights these days are just some pushing and shoving, if at all, but not that one. Guys were getting PASTED. There was a whole season's worth of bad blood between those two teams* and it just boiled over that day.

* long story short: back in '84, the Braves had been the best team in the National League for a fair amount of time. So here come the Padres, who were just starting to get good. The Braves were like, who do these guys think they are? Don't they know their place? So the Braves decided to lay down some intimidation, and the Padres didn't stand for it.

Actually the Padres lost the game that this fight took place in, but they eventually won the NL pennant that year and went to the World Series.

No doubt a story waiting to be told . . . .

The biggest challenge in writing LIBRARIANS books, btw, is coming up with ideas they haven't already done yet--or are not planning to do in the near future! (I was specifically warned away from Egyptian mythology at one point, in anticipation of Season 3.)

The Good Fight episode 3

I can't express how happy I am that
Marissa is Diane's assistant. What a great character! I hope her dad pops in occasionally on the new show, too.

:)

So you couldn't write a story about Ra or something? Was that off limits too?

In general, I just try to avoid stepping on their toes. Since their whole third-season arc plot involved ancient Egyptian mythology, it made sense not to go to that same well. Especially when there are no shortage of myths and legends and history and classic literature to draw on instead..

When I wrote the first book, which involved Aladdin's Lamp, I was frankly surprised to discover that the franchise had largely left the Arabian Nights alone, but I ran the idea by them first just to make sure they didn't have a big Arabian Nights plot coming up. Ditto with Book Two, which is about Mother Goose.

And, of course, I've deliberately stayed away from Shakespeare and the Knights of the Round Table--for obvious reasons.

To be clear, I'm not complaining; this is Standard Operating Procedure when it comes to tie-in novels. And the LIBRARIANS folks have been very good about keeping me in the loop when it comes to their plans ....
