What are you watching???

Tonight: Riverdale.

And I'm recording "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" off TCM in anticipation of FEUD.

There's a series now sprung from the movie Training Day. Haven't seen it but find that interesting.

Don't get too attached. It starred Bill Paxton, who sadly passed away last week.

Meanwhile, I just watched WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE, which I had somehow never seen before.

I've been on a bit of a Disney kick lately, so I watched Beauty & the Beast yesterday. I haven't seen that movie since I was probably under 10 years old, but it really holds up as a certified classic. Some of the other movies from the last week or so:

Moana - Great, a modern classic
101 Dalmations - Not bad, but kind of boring.
Sleeping Beauty - A classic. Not one of my favorites (the good guys are a bit too boring) but great animation and a great villain.
Cinderella - Not one of my favorites, the animal hi jinks take too much time away from the title character
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad - Pretty boring, with the Ichabod short actually being the worst one in my opinion, even if the headless horseman scene at the end is cool.

Anyone know where I can catch Broadchurch season 3? Not ready to wait another year here in America for Netflix to pick it up.

The Black Cauldron

This Disney movie gets a bad reputation, and financially its apparently one of their biggest failures, but I thought it was ok. I mean, the story is very rushed, the villain has a good design but that's all he has, and the main characters are way too simplistic even for a Disney movie. But it has some good visuals, the story is watchable and even though its rushed its comprehensible and very easy to sit through. While I can't say its a better movie, I did like it better then I liked 101 Dalmations, Cinderella and Dumbo in my recent rewatches of those Disney movies.

Finally got around to watching 1957's A FACE IN THE CROWD, a movie that's been on my to-do list for years. And, yes, it's just as good as I've always heard, with amazing performances by Andy Griffith and Patricia Neal.
