James Spader was born for the role he plays in this. Then again, I've always liked Spader's acting. Especially in StarGate.
I still think the most decisively insidious character Jim has ever played (No, I am not discounting Ultron) was Robert California in the US version of The Office.

About to watch the Graham Norton Show with De Niro, Anne Hathaway, Kenneth Brannagh and Tom Hiddleston. De Niro is usually terrible on talk shows but Norton is very good with non-talkative stars and will probably just show them a picture of a raccoon dressed as a dildo.
