Same. Now at s5ep9. Chris Noth is taking half the eps away from Vincent D'Onofrio. Robert Goren rivals Columbo for the best TV Detective of all time. Hands down. Don't ask me to pick between the two.
ETA:^I'd say Goren had the better writers in the long run but Columbo had the better media (single story one and a half hour films) for the character As I find this kind of thread very inspirational I resurrected the youngest of the ones I could find with a rather basic 'search'. Strange though; I thought I started one myself in Misc. some time ago... maybe I'm confusing it with the one in the lounge Nevertheless, I find these sort of threads, where we can talk about the media, we currently are consuming, very inspirational and sometimes even educating. Just because it takes the whole alien invasion scheme of so many films, we all have seen, and turns it upside-down I just had to watch Terra. It's not the kind of almost photorealistic animation we have become used to, more like the children's film it's actually trying to be, and it is very pretty images anyway... having only seen the first half hour I couldn't say if it actually is worth watching, but I had to pause it to write this -which is something I rarely do as most films I happen to stumble upon have looong periods of sheer boredom inbetween spouts of hard action -this one is moving along at a steady pace without too many interrupting hard action sequences or mindnumbingly dull 'soft feeling' sequences...
Nothing. I kind of overdid for a while, mostly doing a rewatch of TNG, so I've got Netflix on hold for a couple months, and I'm doing lots of reading.
Arrested Develoment on Netflix (first-time watch). Deep Space Nine season five on DVD as of yesterday.
Does anyone watch the FBI shows? I watched the Dylan McDermott episodes when he joined FBI: Most Wanted, then I watched a few of the Julian McMahon episodes that are on Paramount+, but these type or shows aren't really my thing to stick with. Anyone watch Most Wanted? I'm curious about how come most episodes have one regular character missing. They budgeting the show? They just don't know how to write for everyone (which may explain the massive turnover on this particular show)?
I'm a tragic fan of some of these procedurals and I like for the most part FBI and FBI Most Wanted, but it just didn't feel the same when they killed off Julian McMahon's character. I mean they have changed actors and kept the same character on other shows so I don't know why they just didn't do that in this case. I used to love the little family bits at the end of every episode. I'd love it of Maggie Bell and Oa got together. I'm shipping them.
An episode of FBI: Most Wanted mentioned Hudson University. Their most popular major must be how to become a criminal!
Maggie and Oa ship forever, I mean I've forgotten the name of his other girlfriend though she seemed nice enough.
I watched a twisted tale made in the style of David Lynch called In Fabric about a haunted dress. Audiences panned it but critics cheered. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/in_fabric Not my usual cuppa tea but its stylistic directions made it interesting enough for me.
