What are you reading?

Now finished The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August (which is very good) inherited a bunch of Stainless Steel Rat books last year so going to read Harry Harrison's original next :)

In the afternoons I am listening to Mr Mercedes by Stephen King, narrated by a Will Patton.

In the mornings I am still listening to The Clan of the Cave Bear in the mornings.

I find that true with most books due to having to get used to the settings and characters, but after awhile it becomes hard to put down :)

After I finished Mr Mercedes, I immediately started on Finder's Keepers by Stephen King, again narrated by Will Patton.

I am listening to Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee, narrated by Reese Witherspoon. The first few chapters were boring, after a while it picks up a bit but the adult Jean Louise (Scout) can certainly waffle on.

To be honest I'm going to give it a miss, her third book looks more my speed.
Agree.
In terms of story, not much happens. The main interest is the peek into the creative process and the poerful snapshot of 1950s social commentary.
I think we all are grateful that Lee reworked this one into Mockingbird.
Which, having completed Watchman, I am now rereading.

I don't find that much time for reading, maybe I should make more time, I'm currently reading Himmler by Peter Padfield, certainly interesting subject matter.

^ Interesting that you said that, because I just finished My Grandfather Would Have Shot Me: A Black Woman Discovers Her Family's Nazi Past, by Jennifer Teege and Nikola Selmair. Heartbreaking, but fascinating.

Right now I'm about two thirds into Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, which is thus far totally delightful. At almost 1000 pages, I'm surprised at how fast a read it's turning out to be.

I just finished The Testing Trilogy in the wee hours of this morning. Now, I need to either pick out a new book or finish some I have started. :)

Before the Throne, in which Egypt's leaders from the ancient Pharaohs to modern dictator-presidents are brought before the great god Osiris to have their souls judged in the balance.
