Coffee it's what I'm drinking right now.
I only managed one coffee this morning, wasn’t enough. Usually have a coffee from the vending machine while the kids swim, but all my change went to the school fundraiser. Least the WiFi is free.

Just drinking plenty of water to keep hydrated and popping caffeine pills like candy. There ain't no way I want to sleep until I get some news.

I’m trying to remember what Ivanova said about sleep whilst waiting for news. I imagine it would be helpful. Blast my wine addled mind.
 
Eh. It's not the first time I'll have stayed up well past when I should have slept, and for far more frivolous reasons.

Sounds a bit crazy but applying some plain yoghurt helps. It soothes and cools the burnt skin and supplies vitamins, fat and proteins it needs to heal. It also reduces the pain considerably.

I'm just converting a few new audiobooks to a format my mp3 player can read. After that I'll have a major cut & sew session: my sister ordered a new cover for a huge sofa cushion in her favourite patchwork pattern: http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/2017/04/ring-me_27.html it's a scrap quilt made from 1 inch squares.

I'm sitting here on the verge of tears.

I desperately want to talk with a friend but they're not at a point right now that they're ready to talk.

I'm lonely and concerned and scared. I don't want to lose them as a friend. They have a lot going on and I have no right to demand their time. They need to deal with their issues right now.

{{{{{{{Scribble}}}}}}} ( <- huge cyber-hug) hang in there! Your friends need a bit of time to get to grips with their current problem but that doesn't mean you have to solve your own problems on your own. Remember that you have lots of friends here who are just a mouseclick away.
(Also, remember to get some sleep and food. Things tend to look much worse when you're tired and an unbalanced blood sugar triggers depression. You're slipping into a negative feedback loop right now.)

It's not even 10 am and already 35°C (37 in my office as it faces south). I think I'll spend the rest of the day in the chemists' sample freezer..
