What are the Trekbbs ads trying to sell to you?

Some clickbait that says "Surgeon: This 'Ends' Neuropathy - Do This Immediately."

The most interesting clickbait article of them all. "Star Trek Women: Then and Now." with an ad featuring Denise Crosby's head on Jolene Blalock's T'Pol outfit.

Some how I doubt the article is what I think it's about...

Ads have been a part of my life for 30 years.
My mother told me that when I was about 5 or so, I paid very little attention to the actual TV shows, but perked up when the ads were on.

To this day I can recite the TV commercial for the Pop-O-Matic Trouble game, word for word.

Amazing, the stuff one remembers over 50+ years...

Wristwatches. They look rather nice, and are much more affordable than the $15,000 ones that kept coming up in the ads before.

TrekBBS adverts have never targeted me before with their algorithms, so they must be confusing me with Elon Musk and his expensive tastes. I am sure that they will figure me out properly eventually.

I may just go premium to block them all out though. But I actually like posting about the adverts I see, it is like a new kind of game thread. :guffaw:

It's because the ads are slightly louder to attract your attention.

Little kids seem to notice it more.

Did you discuss gardening anywhere on a forum, blog, or social media? It's creepy, what turns up in my Pinterest recommendations after I've had a discussion on a forum. Sometimes it's stuff I'd never think of looking at. My Amazon recommendations have been bizarre lately, as well.
