Were you guys ever shamed for liking trek or any other nerdy hobbies?

Not really. I was heavily into Star Trek and Star Wars novels when I was younger (the late 90s to early 200s). My classmates knew I was into that, and they were supportive and often asked me questions about what was going on.

In high school, no one noticed me enough to shame me for my hobbies. I was known as the weird kid (was raised in an unusual religious sect) and people were content to leave me alone.

I was bullied for two years, and on another school nobody noticed me for the other two years. But people did think I was weird for liking Star Trek.

I was never attacked too much for liking Star Trek. Still watching Power Rangers in Middle school on the other hand…
