Were you a fan of Voyager in the beginning?

I didn't own a TV when Voyager first aired. I watched a few early eps at a friend's house - I think I saw "Caretaker" and "The Thaw". I know I saw "Non Sequitur". It was after that episode that I decided that leaving the house to watch Voyager was more trouble that it was worth. I also remember thinking it was unfortunate that the sexy drunk lady from Murphy Brown was such a boring captain, with really bad hair to boot. It was about 15 years before I got around to trying to watch Voyager again. When I did start watching it, I wasn't keen on it. I found Janeway particularly irritating. My husband liked her and the show, and persuaded me to keep watching along with him. The next episode we saw happened to be "Deadlock". As soon as it was over, I watched it again, then I watched it again the day after that, and by then I was a dedicated Voyager (and Janeway!) fan.

Yes, I've been a fan from the start but I almost tuned out during s3 because it started to feel directionless. So for me, adding Seven of Nine and the bolder stories during s4-s6 did save the show for me and kept me watching.

I only realised I was a Voyager fan when I joined this site.

Me too! But the over way around.

I thought I loved Voyager till I got here. it turns out, I didn't know what love means. The sheer unrealistic tonnage of gushing in this forum made my tiny affection for the show curdle and almost die.

Ever dip your toe into the DS9 forum?

And, no, I haven't read Lost Girls. Why?
