(Oh, and if no one remembers who the hell I am, it's okay, I understand :( :D)
How can anyone forget the ever nodding O'Brien! The things you used to do with poor Miles just to promote a movie is stuff of legend! It's like that ubiquitous Klingon Chef who throws plates of gagh behind his back. Where is that cat anyway???

:D

Kidding, good to see ya again, Monty!

My advice, get the rest of Farscape first and then get Voyager. :D While both of them are over-priced, you do have most of Farscape already. ;)

Yeah, the VOY sets are overpriced. I was less reluctant to spend the money when buying DS9, but hey, it was my favorite Trek and what could I do? :D I'll probably finish buying VOY before getting the last of Farscape, mainly because I've already seen all of 'Scape and only a third or so of VOY eps.

However, my next priority is making sure I have enough to pick up Nip/Tuck S2 and Lost S1 (and possibly Desperate Housewives...yes, I watch it, so sue me) in the next few weeks!

And hopefully the variety of O'Brien avs will return, but looking at the fall lineup of movies it'll be tough to come up with some good ones!

Welcome back, Monty! Good to see you! :)

Vash,

Welcome back yourself. Maybe I just havn't been paying much attention, but you too havn't really been posting that much. :)

^ No, I've not been posting much. Been having some personal issues. But I have spys (if you could call Lord Garth a "spy") on the moderatin' job. ;)

Nip/Tuck's great, and while I really liked Lost I won't be getting it on DVD. And hey, I watch Desperate Housewives too (mainly cos my g/f loves it) but honestly, it's a pretty good show.

Yeah, I've missed all the cool O'Brien avs. :)

I know you've got skills! For Serenity, just put O'Brien in a brown coat... or a geisha outfit

Hey, Vash is back too! Good to see ya!

Well I've got some good news. I got a job! :D A friend of mine works there already and he really likes working there, so that's a plus. I'll also be doing stuff that I like (mostly Java, some database stuff) and I'll also be getting payed more then I thought I would.

Way to go congrats Bigfoot!

Sounds like a dream. Getting to do work you actually enjoy and getting paid more than you expected to do it. Wow!

No, I'm not depressed about my job and the pissant pay. Of course not...

:(

:D

Seriously, man, congrats!

Way to go, BigFoot!

Well, I just got back from seeing The Brothers Grimm. It wasn't the train wreck I had feared it would be, and while it's nowhere near my favorite Gilliam film, I think I'd place it slightly above Munchausen. Damon and Ledger did a pretty good job and there were some good gags and nods to many fairy tales. While some of the CGI was lacking, the visual style of the film was still pretty damn sumptuous. I would have preferred that Jonathan Pryce's character was never dreamed up, however.

^ Thanks Vash. :)

Anyway... what's everyone up to? I've been pretty busy with work. So far it's alright... hopefully it'll get a little more interesting eventually though. :)

Besides that... well, my g/f and I finished watching Farscape a while ago, so now we're watching DS9 again. We've already watched up to Battle lines. :) Man I missed the show. But OTOH having had my DVDs at my house for over a year now did make me want to watch the show more, which is a good thing. We also decided we're not gonna skip any of the episodes (like The Muse :p).

What else is new... nothing really. I wish we'd get Serenity here soon, but I'm worried that they won't even show it at our theatres. :(

Hey Bigfoot,

I've just been busy with working on Taxes for my father and studying for school. I have an accounting midterm, which I'm almost ready for but more studying can't hurt. I'm glad this week is almost over. It's been a good week, but I really look foward to the weekends, especially now with football season underway.

^ Yeah, I hear ya. Every day during the week I'm counting the days till the weekend. :) And good luck with your exams.

Hi guys, getting settled in. Now I know where the Bar 'n Grill went. I only saw the most recent threads over the past few days.

The bar & grill will slide away into the backdrop of the excitement that is DS9 & then a faithful barfly like BigFoot will bring back the love. I'm always here in heart, even if I don't go looking for it much when it falls away ;)

Quittin time, gotta get me a nice, smooth bloodwine

Good to see everyone. BigFoot, I feel for ya on Serenity. I'm growing impatient just waiting for the end of September! Well, hopefully the DVD will only be a few months off, and then you can (I assume) get to view it. Or just read all the spoilers from the last few months and you'll probably know the flick inside & out!

I don't want to sound arrogent or condensening but I have to ask.

What is it with you guys and this movie. I read posts saying people have already seen it already, and will go see it at least 4 times or something. I'm sorry to say I wasn't really a fan of the show. It was alright, and I did like the theme song (That actually was my favorite part of the show) but it just didn't warm up to me as much as it really had an impact on some of you. No offense but you guys are a rabid bunch.

So, I wonder. Why was Firefly good and why should I spend 6.75 to see it in theaters as a way to be entertained for a few hours. Just my opinion, but this is a movie based on a failed series, and I really don't see it doing all that well with the mainstream.
