Nice to hear from ya, Sakrysta (could've left off that Orlando bit tho :rolleyes: :lol:). I'm all signed up and ready myself. I thought I'd heard about KRAD & TerriO being there, but I didn't see them on the Dragon*Con roster. Glad to see some BBSers will be there; we'll have to find a way to identify each other. Maybe I'll jot my username on my badge.

Vash, you & I will talk before I get there, I promise :D
 
Hey guys,

Well, I couldn't find a job this summer so I just started back at the one at a school district I've had for the last few years. It's a pretty good job (I'm kind of the lacky doing what people would call the garbage stuff, but I actually like it) and the person needs a lot of help. This will mean that now (Early evening PDT) is the only time of the day I'll be on. I'm just glad this summer isn't going to be a complete waste though. At least I'm making something and I know pretty much thier entire staff.

Thanks. I just got a raise today too which is sweet.

Anyway, Just checking in and telling you all that I'm not going to be on here until a week from tomarrow. I'm going on a vacation and there isn't going to be internet access. I hope every one has a good week.

Yeah, well, they start selling memberships for the next Dragon*Con at the current Dragon*Con. If I'd known for sure I was going this year, I could have purchased a membership for $40 at last year's convention. :)
 
^I picked mine up for $70. I think they're now at $85 (as of last week). That'll be the last price hike. When I first heard about Dragon*Con, it was going for $50. Would've been nice to get em then. But even at $70, it seems to be a good deal.
 
Hey guys,

I got back from my trip today, and just catching up on some stuff from the week. I heard the sad news about Doohan today and even though I knew it was coming, I'm still really really sad. He was my favorite Star Trek actor and character. :(
 
With James Doohan and DeForest Kelly gone, it does feel like an era is coming to an end. Thanks for the entertainment.

Well I've had a good day. I finally got a broadband connection again! I also got my speakers (finally). They have so much power it's insane, I was literally picking up some stuff cos it fell off a shelf. :D

But yeah, it's so nice to be on broadband again. I never appreciate it until I'm back on dial-up for a while. :)
 
Question for the group here:

Do you guys "get" my custom title? We are required to leave the term "moderator" in there somewhere...but I wanted to make sure this group got it...and that I wasn't erm...bragging or anything. :lol:

What's everyone up to. It's been a while since someone posted in this thread and I don't want to see it end this way. I'm not up to much other than going back to school tomarrow. Did anyone plan to get Sin City today?

Yeah, I've been meaning to post in here for a few days now, but I never get around to it. I haven't been doing much.

Me and my g/f are going through Farscape at the moment, were alraedy in the middle of season 4 (we just finished "A Prefect Murder"). We also started watching DS9 again, which is nice cos I haven't watched any of my DS9 DVDs in like a year.

What else... I've been playing computer games quite a bit. Mostly I've been playing GTA: Vice City, but I also started Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay yesterday.

About Sin City, my g/f's mom is picking it up today and she's gonna send it to us. It's not being released in Europe until the end of September, besides, it's gonna cost more anyway. :)

Oh yeah, I've got a job lined up. I start on September first, so that's useful. :D
