Hey guys,
It's been a very busy few days here in So Cal. Today is the first day this whole trip we have the ability to actually relax, so I am plenty of time today.
So far, it's been a great trip. On Memorial day, we just visited San Diego and took a tour of the city. We went to Old Town, and kind of made plans for Saturday morning. I love history, so one of the stops on the tour was the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier, which I might go on this week. It depends on what the plans are. That night, in a goal to visit all the MLB teams current home stadium, we took in a Padres game to Petco Park. It's a nice stadium, but being biased from the Bay Area, it's not nearly as good as SBC (Giants home).
Tuesday might have been the most exhusting day. We took an hour and a half drive to Universal Studios, which was pretty good. I've been there before, so I just did the classics like Back to the Future (Beings back so many memories of when they would advertise the ride back in the late 80s), Jurassic Park (Which it seems like they tamed, no pun intended
) and just toured the place. Than we went to enemy... ah I mean Dodger stadium which was a much better experiance than Petco. For one, we were sitting in a section where if you were a Dodger fan, you were in a minority and there were fans of many different teams, including other Giants fans. Also, the game wasn't as boring as the Pads were. Of course after this stadium, I still consider SBC the greatest place to watch a game in Baseball.
Finally yesterday, we went to the most greedy place on earth, Disneyland.
Of course I love Disneyland (Yeah there are a few corporate america things that I do enjoy), so it was a fun day, even though it was really crowded. Of course it's always crowded, except for a time I went for my birthday. Did all the classics (Still think Space Mountain is the best, followed closely by Thunder Mountain and the Indiana Jones right) and will go to CA Adventure and back to Disneyland tomarrow.
Anyway, so the trip is going really well. I can't wait till I get back into the Bay Area though. I wouldn't want to live in LA, but San Diego might be nice. The commute traffic is not as bad here as it is in LA or even Chicago.
