Happy Monday!
Well, I saw
Blade: Trinity and
Ocean's 12 this weekend.
Blade kinda disappointed me. It was still vampire-slicing fun, and I love Abigail Whistler's UV bat'leth

But it seemed to me Goyer put in a few too many moments that just seemed ho hum. It didn't have real comic flash like Guillermo del Toro put in
Blade II or deep personal angst like the first
Blade. The parts that should've been gripping just weren't. It's obvious Goyer's trying to build up the new team, the Nightstalkers, but Blade still had a lot of good screen time. I probably read one site's reviews too much (chud.com), but they praise Ryan Reynolds for being the real "star" of the show. He's really just the comic relief. If he wasn't there, it wouldn't have really affected the movie one bit. It just would've been less funny, and I'm more into Blade's dry humor anyway

I still enjoyed the movie, but I think it's probably time to hang up Blade's... blade... for a while anyway.
Wasn't there news that the
Batman Begins trailer would be out with
Blade: Trinity? I don't remember, but I didn't see it. Saw it online though; man, I'm salivating I wanna see that flick so bad
But
Ocean's 12 was a blast! A riot from the beginning, and a good follow up to the original. I like that they didn't go on to some completely new job with no consequences from the original. Terry Benedict is really out for blood or his money back, and that's why Ocean's 11 comes back together. The new storylines come in as a result of what they have to do to try to rectify with Benedict. There are also some new elements and twists that make things fun. They've again acomplished having a good movie with major stars where they're not trying to outdo each other or get star billing. They just have a great time. I can't talk too much more about it without spoiling things, but if you liked the first one, check this one out asap!
