Vash, it's really cool that you got to meet Peter Jurassik. From what I've heard of him he sounds like a really cool guy. :)

Oh yeah, do you still want that av? :)

^ Yes, I do want the av. However, I have been pressed for time lately and have not had time to assemble the pictures. :p

As many of you guys in this thread know, Londo Mollari is my all-time favorite SFF character...and so it was really cool to meet him. I got to the autograph table before it opened and so I got extra long to talk to him as he was setting up the table - most cool!!!!

Anyway...he was really nice, funny as all get-out, and I could tell he really loves the fans. I stood there like a fangirl and gushed about how wonderful Londo was and how he is my favorite SFF character ever, and I think he liked that! He even did some Londo lines, which was most cool!!!
Wow, cool! :D

What lines did he do?

Steven, I told him during our conversation that I loved the bit during season 1 when he has the conversation with Vir about ducks/cats. Do you remember that? The one where they thought that ducks were called cats? And he goes on about being picked to death by cats?

Anyway...he did his lines from that conversation. And it was HI-larious!

Then a bit about sticking his head in a fusion reactor, and how if he did it long enough, he might even begin to like it! Can't remember which episode that's from...but I remembered it!

Anyway...it was surreal, hearing Londo, sitting right in front of me! But it was totally cool!

Jeez, I'm a geek!

There's a thread in SFF about this, but I thought I'd let you guys who don't get over there often know:

Serenity's release date has been pushed back to September 30th.

*wanders back over to the weeping corner*

AND best of all, I got to meet, talk to, and get an autograph from Peter Jurasik!!!!

Cool, Vash. :D Of course, it'd have been better if you'd met Andreas Katsulas, but then I'd probably hate you so this works out okay. :p

Sounds like you had a great time, anyway. :D

WHAT??!?! No!!! Why??? :(

I'm sure I'l go through some more emotions before it's all over with....

Has Josh or anyone else involved given some details or reason about the delay? Guess I'll check SFF. I guess at least it's still gonna happen.

It IS still gonna happen, right?

Me and my g/f just got home for seeing Alexander and we both loved it. IMO it was just an absolutely amazing film, the best I've seen this year. Word of caution. :D Don't go see it, if you're expecting something like Troy. The movie does have a couple of kick ass battles though. But yeah, if you like movies that actually try to be realistic and depict events the way they did happen, go see it. :) And IMO Colin deserves an oscar nomination, he was absolutely amazing.

Anyway....I need to go hit the sack. :)

I wasn't overly impressed with Troy. Fun battles, sure, but it didn't seem to be all that moving or thoughtful storywise.

So if Alexander is less flashy battles and more story-driven, I could go for that.

^ Well, from what I've read in the review thread in General TV & Media, some people liked it, some people hated it, and some people hated. But that's how it is with most movies, lol. :D
But yeah, I really enjoyed it, and it definately was very story-driven.

Anyway...me and my g/f went shopping today. That was a lot of fun, we spent a ton of cash or presents, lol. :D I did managet to get two DVDs for myself though. I got a good deal at HMV on Princess Mononoke and Blade. :)

I'm gonna go watch this week's ep of Boston Legal now. :D

Fun fun fun as always. Danny Crane & Alan Shore are a riot! OK, don't go any further till you've seen the ep....

yes. SPOILERS.

Anyway, I nearly fell outta my seat when Al Sharpton showed back up this week. The man likes making fun of himself now I guess  Hilarious! I guess Alan's the law equivalent of a bad-boy since all the women have either slept with him or want to. Noting like bucking authority to make the panties wet. Hmm, I oughta take notes

Two things I like about David E Kelly shows (at least Boston Public, Boston Legal, and yes, Ally McBeal): he has his characters do some very entertaining and thoughtful discerations (so I guess he's well suited for law shows) and he doesn't shy away from ambiguous situations. That outcome with the man's fantasy of killing his wife was predictable, but gripping nonetheless. I look forwad to seeing the follow-up to this situation.

^ Yeah, James Spader and Bill Shattner are absolutely wonderful on the show. :D I could honestly watch the show if they were the only two regulars on it. :D Though seeing Rene again is great aswell. :) And well, I've had a thing for Rhona Mitra for ages.
But yeah, it's a really fun show. I actually think it's my favourite show of David E. Kelley's. I did like Ally McBeal for the most part, and I also enjoyed The Practice, but so far I'm absolutely loving Boston Legal. :D

My g/f picked up Spidey 2 today on DVD (superbit edition), she should be home from work soon. :) I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie again cos I really enjoyed it at the theatre and I thought it was a lot better then the first one (which I still like a lot).

I also got the Farscape Starburst Edition vol 1 (the first 7 eps of the show) today. Here's what I posted about it in a thread in SF&F:

**********************************************************************

The packaging itself is ok, nothing special. And I'm not too thrilled about the double-sided discs. But I can live with it. :)
I already watched all the extras on disc 2, side B and they're pretty good. Some of the stuff was a bit repetative, but still good. I am a bit disappointed about one thing though. On the little insert that comes with the set, where it lists all the extras, it says that there's a commentary to PK Tech Girl by Ben and Claudia. Well, it's not there. It's not listed on the back of the DVD case, so I don't know what happened. But yeah, it would have been great to have that commentary. :)

This thread needs a bump! And what excuse for that than my birthday!? :D

A round of root beer for everyone in the house!

Man, I'm behind! Not sure what DVDs I plan to get next, but I want something. Spidey 2 would be good, and I want to get Riddick. Also Pitch Black - I saw part of it last night and I remember how much I liked the grittiness of the first flick. Maybe that's what made Riddick less enjoyable to me; it was much more polished, maybe too much. Matrix Reloaded & Revolutions may have fallen victim to the same thing. Sometimes being able to throw more money at a project isn't necessarily a good thing.

I think Gargoyles is coming out this month; that may be my next purchase.

Spidey 2 would definately be a good buy. :) Same goes for Pitch Black. And if you do get CoR, make sure you get the director's cut. While I really liked the theatrical cut, I find the DC even better. It adds some more story to the movie, and the action sequences are better. :)

Happy Birthday Computer Voice!

I haven't been watching much B5 lately guys, trying to do my homework and pick up my grades. :borg:

Well... that's not entirely true, I keep watching the battle scene from "Endgame" over and over again. :D
