Hi guys!

Greetings from Chicago! :)

Right now, coaster and I are up in Chicago meeting up with the Chicago BBS folks and having a very nice weekend! :)

As for the issue of avatars, I'm for *any* avatar thing you guys wanna do. LOTR sounds great! And I'm hoping BigFoot will make me something for Halloween with Spike! ;)

I'll try to check in later today....but now I'm off to the Museum of Science and Industry. :D

Hey Vash, it's cool that you're having fun! :) Say hi to coaster and everyone else for us. :)
Was that a hint about Spike's av eh? :p I'm sure I can put something together. If you've got any ideas/wishes/recommendations, let me know. :)
Have fun! :)

That's excellent news, BlackDog. :D I know I'm always prepared to talk about/earbash people about B5, so at least one person will listen. :D
Ooo... I can too! :D :p
This from someone who actually had the audacity to ask if he ought to keep watching. :p

Glad you're having a great time, Vash. :D

Go for it, BlackDog. :D

Monty, WHAT is your avatar about right now? Man, that's creepy!

Don't read the following if you don't want to know anything about the movie, but there's nothing here that hasn't been in the trailers, though.

It deals with the movie Saw. It's apparently about this demented guy that kidnaps people, and puts them in situations that force them to do terrible things if they want to survive. In one of the trailers, this woman awakens to find this helmet/mask on her face (which is in the av) and a man lying on the floor nearby. A TV monitor is nearby, and a dummy/puppet appears on it (also in the av), telling her that the device is wired into her jaws. He then tells her that if she cannot find the key located INSIDE her dead cellmate, the mechanical jaws will spring open...forcing her jaws to do the same thing *shiver*. In the trailer, as she's preparing to cut the guy open, we see that HE'S NOT DEAD... That's only one situation in this movie, from what I understand.

Pretty sick, yeah, and I can't wait to see this movie! :D
Okay, EEEEW! *shudder* I knew I didn't want to see that movie! That's just one more reason!

Well, I've finished my review of Farscape's Season 1, and I've watched Season 2 through "Crackers Don't Matter." You know, that episode is funny, but really, some people think it's the most hilarious thing they've ever seen, and I just don't get that. Now I'll admit, John in the "superhero" costume was fall-on-the-floor humorous, and there were a couple other really funny spots. But I've seen funnier episodes of Farscape.

Ah well. At least I've made it past "Taking the Stone." Eew. I dreamed about being pregnant last night, and I'm sure it was because of that weird pregnant chick with the transparent stomach in that stupid episode. If it weren't for the character moments in that one, I'd never have touched it again.

*** fills a few other orders *** - even though this is a self-serve bar with ironclad security. ;)
Self serve? No wonder the lock seemed pretty... unlocked :p

Well, what the heck, one hot fish juice for BlackDog! Man that stinks! Gimme some good fresh targ juice anyday

Hi guys...

Thanks for the good wishes when I was up in Chicago. We had a really wonderful time...and look forward to the next get-together with that gang! :)

Enjoyed traveling with coaster too! Yesterday, he even got us into first class for the flight between Detroit and Atlanta. It was a nice surprise since I was so tired...most excellent to have the extra space! :)

Looking forward to Halloween around here now...should be fun! :)

It was definitely a nice ride up there after being so tired this weekend.

Perhaps tonight we'll finally get around to watching that old Farscape mini! I'm dying to watch it!

I feel like I should change my avatar to something non-horror movie related just for this week.

Nah...

Don't worry, babe, I won't have them for a while yet... how you doing anyway? I've been missing you...
Hey kiddo! You won't have to miss me for much longer! I'm almost a Rear Admiral. It only took me a little over a year, to do it too.

When do you start watching Babylon 5? What got you interested in checking it out? I bet you end up loving it, judging about your other sci-fi tastes.

I'm expecting to be able to see it from the beginning quite soon now, if a certain devious plan a friend of mine has cooked up goes according to plan - unable to reveal the exact details on this board... In the meantime I'm watching Season Four on a British cable channel and I'm definitely in love with the series. I can see where the B5/DS9 comparisons come from, but it's more than a little absurd to call DS9 derivative - the feel, atmosphere and characters are entirely different...

kev, have you heard the human proverb about the pot calling the kettle black? I have to have my nasal mmembranes anaesthetised before I can enter a bar where that noxious purple bloodwine you Klingons swill down with such gusto is served...

You know...this week, you have the good guy in Evil Dead and I have one of the bad, bad, evil chicks from Evil Dead. It's almost poetic. Now, if I could only get Vash to watch Evil Dead this week...

Now, if I could only get Vash to watch Evil Dead this week...
Oddly enough, that's actually my goal in most of my relationships with women!

Gee, I wonder why I'm single.

Don't I know it! Just check your nose at the door!
lmao2.gif

But bloodwine goes down so smooth! :D

About as smooth as swallowing a whole targ arse-first, if you ask me... but I wouldn't expect a Klingon to know any better...

Ah, it's aftenoon here - break out the kanar, please. I don't suppose you have any of the '52 left? That was a good year...

 You guys..... :p

Well, I'll watch a scary movie with coaster this week...but generally speaking, I'm not good at scary movies, weenie that I am and all.

But scary is better than gory. I won't watch blood and guts. :p

I don't know what The Evil Dead is...is it only scary? Or is it gory too?

I've not seen either of the first two...but Army of Darkness is so hilarious...it deliberately mocks itself. The gore (and there isn't much) is for humour's sake rather than fright or disgust.
