Hi there!
Newbie here, though a long time nerd. While I'm old enough to have watched the 90's Trek while it aired originally, it was never broadcast in my country. My first exposure to Trek was the 2009 JJ Abrams reboot, which lead me to believe the franchise was generic guns go "pew pew" science fiction. Years later, I watched Mike from RedLetterMedia talk about VOY's episode "Deadlock", though it sounded cool, watched it and fell in love with the series. For real though, I'm still legitimately low key in love with Captain Janeway. To this day, Voyager is my main jam:

I love DS9, and I've recently hunkered down and tried for the second time to watch the entirety of TNG. My first attempt failed when I ran afoul at the dreaded season 1. I skipped it this time, went directly to season 3, and while I like it a lot better - Yesterday's Enterprise is *chef's kiss*, I still find many episodes borderline unwatchable. I'm looking at you, Rascals and Aquiel. Feel free to pelt me with tomatoes in the comments.
