I got 64. I'm 35!!

"Star Trek" debuted when you were 12. Immediately, you were captivated by the adventures of James T. Kirk, Spock, Scotty, and the rest of the crew"

Well, my first taste of TOS was in the mid-to-late 90's when The Sci-Fi Channel (now Syfy) ran TOS episodes several times a week, and I watched as much as I could because I loved it. And I was around 12 then... so... they're not totally wrong.

I'm 51 but got 64 . Grew up on tos reruns. I think that skews it as for and tas were the only trek I had when I became a fan.

Mine was way off in both age (guesses 31; I'm 58) and in results I am NOT partial to JLP. It's Kirk all the way for me.

44, which is flattering me by 5 years. They make totally inaccurate general assumptions about what that age means, though. My parents weren't into Trek, and the first Trek movie I saw in the theater, I went with a friend.

I got 64 too. I'm 47. Unsurprisingly, I think it's a poorly thought out quiz. The questions seemed all over the place, in such a way as to make the whole thing seem superficial, in its assessment... at best

What's up with some of these questions. Nibiru?? Levar Burton?!

Anyways,

Your parents were the original Trekkies. You grew up watching reruns of the original series and vaguely remember first run episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "Star Trek: Voyager," and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." While you love "Star Trek: The Original Series," you will always be partial to Jean-Luc Picard and his crew
It was off by less than 1/10th of half a century. And my parents weren't trekkies. The rest is about right.

You got:
19

You grew up surrounded by "Star Trek" and appreciate all interpretations of the franchise. While those older than you argue about the merits of the J.J. Abrahms movies and whether or not "Star Trek: Discovery" is worth watching, you love it all. Sure, some "Star Trek" movies and shows are better than others, but the franchise is so old, you figure it was bound to happen.

Well, this continues the unbroken trend of my age being generously underestimated whenever it has to be guessed. I'm turning 30 in November. But other than this, this actually fits how I feel about the franchise really well, despite the sad fact that most of my first choices weren't even offered among the answers. No option to join Sisko's crew over anything else, seriously? No Cardassians as your favorite alien species? Sheesh.

To be fair, I did notice that my general optimism about the current direction the franchise is taking doesn't really fit the feelings and opinions of the Trek fans my age who I know personally... they're so stereotypically negative I sometimes feel like I'm trying to talk to a youtube video.

I feel... Young. As when the world was new.

Got 19 even though I've been debating Trek online for much longer than that now! And I only waited that long because they had to invent "online" for me first.

But I did get to choose Cardassians as my favorite species, and of course did. Seems there's some flexibility in the system. The summary was nevertheless identical to yours, and likewise fits.

As a child, your parents took you to the movie so that they could watch the "The Wrath of Khan" and "The Search for Spock." They passed on their love for the franchise to you. When someone asks you what your favorite "Star Trek" series is you usually reply "Star Trek: The Next Generation" because that's the one you associate with your youth.

Pretty much mostly wrong, but close.

Some of those questions were silly. Or a bit vague. Especially asking which voyager character I found most interesting....Chakotay? Neelix? Tuvok? Seven?
I could feel them daring me to be controversial.
So I chose Neelix.

Deep Space Nine barely featured, till suddenly there two ds9 characters in one question.
Still. It’s a bit of fluff.

Ok, I don't "love it all" but I do enjoy it. Oh and I'm 34 next month.

I'm curious, do you think the age of an audience member helps inform their opinion of which era of Trek is their favorite? My favorite Star Trek on TV was TNG, at least until Discovery (and many days of the year I still debate which is truly better - today I'm leaning more towards TNG) but my all time favorite Trek was the era of TMP, based I suppose on my feeling that I am rather old fashioned for my age, having been born ten years after TMP premiered. But which is your favorite Star Trek, and do you feel your age has influenced your opinion? This should prove to be an interesting excercise. :)
