That just sucks, I didn't know he was so ill.
Hopper is a great actor. Blue Velvet is one of my favorite movies. His Frank Booth Character is one of the best bad guys ever.

Ugh. Boy did I ever hate that movie and character. More like most annoying villain ever. I wanted to throw my TV out the window every time his boringly over-the-top one-dimensional sadist character was onscreen. I don't blame him for that, though. It was a stupidly written character. He just acted the hell out of a character that was crap on paper. He was, however, definitely the highlight of "Easy Rider" for me and rocked in "Speed" (both of which were movies with terrific writing).
For the latter, he won a much deserved MTV Movie Award for best villain.I still remember his modest acceptance speech where he said something like, "Maybe someone just saw that the voting was for the movie "Speed" and decided to vote just because they liked the movie so much, not knowing who they were voting for." No, Dennis, you won that award because you were awesome.

Like all Lynch projects, not for everyone's taste I suppose.
I think Jack Nicholson was the highlight in Easy Rider. I love Hopper and Fonda, But Nicholson's boozing and UFO speech are just hilarious.
He made it to his star thingie....

There's no "may" about it. "Terminal", yeah?
He'll always be King Koopa to me.
And the Deacon of the Deep.
Seriously, he could bring energy to otherwise thanklessly bad roles.
