Way to Eden Question

Lethe

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
So what exactly do you think happened to Dr. Sevrin's ears? Some kind of counter-culture body modification ritual?

Just thought they were natural for a Tiburon... his native race.

If not for T'Lor, we could have made the inevitable joke about Sevrin's ears...being caught in a Tiburonian rice-picker. :guffaw:

D'oh! I don't know why but I always assumed Sevrin was human. And I never made the Zora-Tiburon-Sevrin connection!

Thanks for all the info.

Hmm, I never thought to check before, but both "The Way to Eden" and "The Savage Curtain" were co-written by Arthur Heinemann, so I guess that explains why Tiburon was mentioned in both. I wonder why he chose that name (the Spanish word for "shark").

I wonder why he chose that name (the Spanish word for "shark").

IIRC, it's also a locality in San Francisco?

Ah: Tiburon is an incorporated town in Marin County, California. It occupies most of the Tiburon Peninsula, which reaches south into the San Francisco Bay. (Wikipedia.)

Sevrin was said to have had a research assignment on Tiburon. He may not necessarily have been native to that planet and may come from another, unnamed world.
