Watching Revolution of the Daleks live in the US, qeustion about adverts

Generally I buy the Doctor Who episodes on Google Play/YouTube the day after they air. My family wants to watch it live, so we might get Sling or another live-streaming cable replacement.

Anyway, I've heard that BBC America has commercials during the broadcast. Is this true? Like, if we get Sling and watch the special live are we gonna get commercials? Is the episode cut down from its normal run time?

There will be commercials, but it won't be cut down. (The episode is in a 1 hour 48 minute timeslot.)

To the OP: I would try to find something to do during commercial breaks because BBC America has a weird policy/habit of airing spoilers for upcoming scenes during said breaks.

37 minutes of commercials. Just wait until shows are 37 minutes but need 71 minutes of commercials. :guffaw:

I believe it's only not cut down on it's first airing on BBC America so you want to catch that one if you can. When they show it in repeats I think they may cut it down to fit the timeslot.

Thanks, guys.
That was far too many commercials. It was bad. No one cares about the budget "The Boys" or whatever that Watch show is gonna be. Commercials for basically their own shows. Every five minutes. Two minutes per ad break. It was really the least enjoyable experience that I've ever had watching TV. Tied with the James Bond Movie Marathon whos ad breaks all began and ended with an inane spot for Asti Spumante.
Next time I'll just wait and watch it on Google.
