No, I was just kidding. The place had about twenty people. It was a Tuesday afternoon showing though so that's probably why.Was it really that bad?
I went to see MIB International and we had like 4 people in the whole theatre

That WAS Downsizing.Oh OK I meant Downsizing though, if you've seen that just how bad is it?
That WAS Downsizing.
As for the movie, it was very "middle of the road" which is why I agreed with your "meh" comment. The trailer made it seem more interesting than it actually was (what trailer doesn't?), but on the other hand, it wasn't a bad movie. Although I don't remember how it ends if that means anything.
I'd recommend, if you're curious, watch it at least once. It can't hurt, and for all I know, you might like it more than I did.
Season 2 had a few good eps.Sorry to drag you all back on topic but I recently ordered season one on Blu-Ray (I had to get it from New Zealand because here in the UK you have to have both seasons together and there's no way I'm sitting through season two) and it arrived today. Looking forward to giving the disks a spin later.

I can honestly say that Downsizing was, without a doubt, the most BORING movie I have ever seen. And not just because of Matt Damon, either. For one thing, there were WAY too many Norwegian hippies...
I only saw it in the first place because much of it is set in my home city (Omaha, NE) but the real Omaha only appears for like ten seconds.![]()
Crikey. So it's a fantasy version of Omaha?
Well, no, not really, it's just that most of the scenes supposedly set here were filmed elsewhere, like Toronto. Very little of it was filmed on location.
And since Omaha is my home, I'm mildly upset about that.![]()
Only at the very beginning and the very end. It's a surprisingly symmetrical inverted bell curve.
Try living in London and watching the way the landmarks are two minutes walk away from each other in movies!Well, no, not really, it's just that most of the scenes supposedly set here were filmed elsewhere, like Toronto. Very little of it was filmed on location.

Well, if it wasn't symmetrical, it wouldn't be a bell curve, right?Only at the very beginning and the very end. It's a surprisingly symmetrical inverted bell curve.
My favorite occurrence of that was Jackie Chan's "Rumble in the Bronx", which was filmed in Canada. The view west would be mostly-flat NJ across the river, the view east would be mostly-flat Long Island across the sound. The waterfront scenes in the film had the Cascade Mountains in the background.Well, no, not really, it's just that most of the scenes supposedly set here were filmed elsewhere, like Toronto. I liked the finale, which had a lot of scenes set in the 'present day' (possibly as a budget saver) and a '7 Days in May' type plot involving a renegade group of generals and such like wanting to attack the Soviet Union against the President's wishes. But the rest of the season was just too different to the first. I missed New Chicago and Dr. Theopolis and Dr. Huer, even good old Princess Ardala. Un yet somehow, I don't mind Galactica 1980, go figure. The one story they didn't do in Buck Rogers was a time travel story ala 'Tomorrow is Yesterday'. It would have been interesting. Obviously the 25th Century cast members would travel back with him.Season 2 had a few good eps.
