Watched both the Tron movies back to back, still love them a lot.

Disappointed Daft Punk broke up and was looking forward to Tron Ares with them.

Still I'm glad the franchise is making a third movie, hopefully they create a strong villain and the soundtrack is enjoyable.

I love Bit. It's the one element from the original that feels sorely absent in the sequel. Why wasn't it included? Even now, computers are really just trillions of binary yes/no responses all smushed together. Bit is the purest expression of that.
Bit made no sense. Everything in a program and in data is made of bits. If you were making a movie about humans, would you for some inexplicable reason have a cell floating around outside the body? Besides, it's poor screenwriting that Bit didn't make any difference whatsoever in the movie (you could have taken it out completely and nothing would have changed) and worse, Bit just disappears after Flynn crashes the Recognizer. It's never seen again or even referred to in the movie. It's a violation of Chekov's Gun. Bit serves no purpose.

I think the larger problem is that nothing in the movie's digital world makes sense. But whatever entertainment value is there is a virtue. YMMV.

I like both movies, but I have to admit, I was a little disappointed that Legacy moved away from the more abstract imagery of the Grid in the first movie, and went with a more realistic looking city and world. I understand why they did it, but I still think it would have been cool if they had found a way to keep at least a little bit of that style in Legacy.

Honestly, I loved the visual shift because it indicated that CLU had such influence. It was so interesting.

You’ll love Patrick O’Hearn
I'll check him out.

Have a look at Kebu - he does a bunch of fantastic covers from albums and soundtracks, plus his own material :

Bit also had three states...which makes it not a bit...and makes not a bit of sense.
