Was Majel ever in ST XI? (spoilers)

Yes, she was in it, with the Checkov Wictor Wictor scene.
Wasnt she commander chapel in star trek iv?

she was only in TVH in the trial scenes in Starfleet HQ, IIRC.

Majel Barrett played Dr. Chapel in Star Trek: The Motion Picture (McCoy says she's an MD now after he's beamed aboard) and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (she was in Starfleet Command tryin' to coordinate relief efforts durin' the probe crisis).

I know that.

he/she, however, was asking specifically about TVH, hence my specific reply.

She was definitely in the jellyfish scene, only one computer voice is listed in the credits

Majel is credited as the Starfleet computer voice, isn't she? The Jellyfish is a Vulcan ship. Not Starfleet.
I think the Federation helped make the Jellyfish from what I've heard about the Countdown stuff.

yeah, I thought Data and Geordi were involved. although, don't quote me, I read Countdown sitting in the Barnes & Noble cafe

The Jellyfish voice is the one that sounds the least like her to me, but I bet that's her too. The Kelvin and Enterprise computer voices are her. I'd put money on it.

X

I just saw it again. She's the voice of the computer in the "Wictor, Wictor" scene.

did you see it in IMAX, Dennis?

No, I don't think that I'll have a chance to do that. Did you get to?

yeah, I went to the Air and Space museum screen in Sterling. if you can, please take that one in, Dennis. it's awesome!

there's another one in Alexandria (AMC Hoffman) but it's not as good.

Definitely her in the Chekov scene, and perhaps in the water tube scene. I'll have to keep an ear out when I see it again tomorrow.

I'm going strictly by the film here. ST XI says the Jellyfish is Vulcan, so that's what it is.

I didn't think to listen for her voice either time I watched this film. I am sorry to realize we will never again hear her voice as the ship's computer, though. She has appeared in every Star Trek incarnation, but no matter what they do it just won't be the same for the next movie. :(

Indranee speaks the truth... don't bother with the FauxMAX at AMC Hoffman, Dennis... it's a colossal ripoff. You absolutely should try to go see it at the Air & Space Museum annex IMAX theater before next Thursday. The BOOM! when starships jump to warp is truly magnificent on a 12,000 watt sound system.

The only times I recognized her voice was:

(1) When Chekov was giving his security clearance

AND

(2) When Kirk accessed the water turbine system

Since those were the only two instances in the movie where the Enterprise computer talked, I believe those were the only two times it was Majel.

I agree there, the only one I'm not sure about is the ones on the Kelvin

Nah. The Jellyfish computer is a much younger woman.

To me it sounds like they modified her voice electronically. I could be very wrong, but I think she's the Jellyfish too.

<--Sound engineer. Trust me. The Kelvin and Jellyfish are not her.

But I want them to be her. *stomps foot on ground*

And there is only one 'Computer Voice' listed in the credits, if I'm not mistaken.
