"Warners are coming down to New Zealand to move [The Hobbit] offshore"

Re: "Warners are coming down to New Zealand to move [The Hobbit] offsh

speaking of The Hobbit, I just watched the 1977 cartoon film
I couldn't take it seriously . . . the Dwarves looked like gnomes, Elves looked like goblins, goblins looked like toads, and Gollum was basically a frog

About the only thing I liked from the 1977 film was the song -- it nicely captured the spirit of the story, even if it is a bit silly. The animation wasn't bad, but the design was just plain bizarre. And what was up with giving Smaug whiskers?

I actually really like the 1977 cartoon. Sure, the character designs were pretty bad, but it was a fairly decent adaptation, and it had its cheesy moments, but I thought it was fun. I also liked Orson Bean and John Huston's performances as Bilbo and Gandalf, and Smaug and Gollum were also performed well.
