Warner bros announce superhero films through 2020

There really is no pleasing you is there. They change the costumes and you complain that they didn't stick the comic design, and now we get one that is an almost an exact recreation of the comics' costume, and you still complain.

Hm, I can literally not find a single picture of Captain Marvel/Shazam with a hood on his cape before 2011. Its almost like the costume is the "Shazam" costume, and not connected to the real character of the original Captain Marvel, who is my favorite superhero. It makes sense, since the movie has nothing to do with Captain Marvel in the first place and really pisses me off.

To be clear, the Shazam movie makes me incandescent with rage whenever I just read the name. If anyone things I've been intolerable before with disliking movies, you should know that I've given up even pretending like I'm not filled with rage and scorn over the pile of shit they're making that is slightly connected to a version of my favorite superhero.

RIP Wonder Woman 2. Seriously though, you'd think after how Ares got shit on for just being Professor Lupin's face on a cg muscle body that they'd start hiring more appropriate actors for the villains. Instead a shitty SNL alumni who has really only "acted" in trash comedies might play what is Wonder Woman's most iconic vilain.

But, if Wonder Woman 1 can still be great even with its villain problems, WW2 will probably also be great, but its unfortunate that instead of fixing the villain problem it might just make it worse.

Only if you think "pulled it off great" is satisfied by delivering the most interesting and memorable cinematic interpretation of Bruce/Batman to date. Otherwise, no. :p

He was so awful that he single-handedly made the movie unwatchable for me. "hey look its that short romantic comedy guy" is all I can think about when he is on the screen.

:wtf::rofl::guffaw:
Yeah, keep up the good work! Jesus.

Oh yeah, because if there is one thing that Kristen Wiig is known for, its being a good actor. She has been in one good movie in her career, and she was in for for probably less then five minutes. But, I guess because she was in that shitty comedy Bridesmaids that made a lot of money she makes sense for Cheetah, a completely serious and at times either tragic or vicious Wonder woman enemy. Wait, maybe it wasn't bridesmaids. Maybe it was getting vomited on in Ghostbusters that really showed her acting chops. I can't wait until they announce Melissa McCarthy as Circe and Kate McKinnon as Artemis.

You understand, by violating your non disclosure agreement, you are now required to lavish praise on every single aspect of the Shazam movie on a minimum of five separate websites a day, until it’s released in theatres.

At this point, I'm prepared for DC to do anything. They could cast Adam Sandler as a resurrected Zeus and do a father/daughter road trip film with Wonder woman, and it would still make more sense then casting a shitty SNL cast member as the most iconic WW villain.

You know there are a lot of comedic actors who also do dramas, just look at Robin Williams, and even Adam Sandler did Spanglish and I think at least one or two other more serious roles.

Yes, some comedic actors do more serious stuff. That doesn't mean they're any good. Robin Willaims was good at serious stuff in my opinion. Adam Sandler isn't good at any kind of acting, or (in my opinion, at least) any kind of comedy, either. I've yet to see any comedic actor who was terrible at comedy do well in a serious movie. With all the good actresses that exist, nobody should be looking to cast Wiig for any role in Wonder Woman 2, whether its a serious role, comic relief, etc.

I mean, she is the least shit of the Paul Feig crew I guess, but that is like saying that one pile of garbage smells less bad then the other ones. At least the actor who played Ares is a good actor, he just doesn't work as a buff god of War and the cg to make him look like it was hilarious and crap. Wiig as Cheetah would give WW2 the third worst villain in the DCEU after Lex "Heath Ledger as Joker" Luthor and Jared "I'm a complete asshole" Leto (I refuse to even call him Joker, because he's not, he's just Jared Leto in crap makeup). It would also show that whoever did the casting didn't give a shit about the movie, and be a big red flag.

Succeeding at doing comedy/comedic action is actually more difficult than succeeding at doing dramatic acting.

Oh yeah, because when I think of top tier actors, I think of people like Eddie Murphy, Mike Meyers, or Jim Carrey. Real masters of the craft of acting. I say that as someone who likes movies with all of them, but come on. Its not easy to do comedy, but its not harder then serious stuff, its just different. It also depends more on writing. Good serious acting can compensate for bad writing to a degree, while good comedy acting generally can't fix a trash comedy script.

Have you seen Spanglish?

I think it looks really good considering it's an out of context set photo. Apparently the suit is based on "Justice League: War" the animated film based on Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's "Justice League: Origin". Probably also based on Alex Ross's art work as well.

That's always a great starting point.
