I've been traveling for work, so I just saw this episode tonight.

I thought it was pretty good. Some funny moments collecting the artifacts. We got the whole Jinksie/Claudia physical connection going on. And we got Artie and his evil astrolabe to deal with.

It's not exactly airtight, logic-wise, but it is fun IMHO.

Tomorrow night, Episode 4:04 There's Always a Downside

"Could an artifact be behind a sudden rash of geniuses at an East Coast prep school?"

    I think it's a distinct possibility....

    Episode 4:04 There's Always a Downside

Unless you want to regrow your appendix to garner a visit from the Bionic woman every year. ;)

This was a good ep. Liked how we finally got the newbie agents to go out with the old pros. It never sounded right to have the 2 junior agents on their own.

I guess we now know that Hugo WASN'T who Artie called at the end of least week's ep.

I'm still counting on HG.. especially since Myka mentioned her last night... "where EVER the heck she is."

She must be doing something Warehouse related since Artie vouched for her.

This was a good episode. It was nice to see Hugo again. And Brother Data apparently has access to the Warehouse somehow. That's bad news. I wonder if the initial theft was supposed to be a metaphor for Artie losing his marbles.

The guy who played the musician was the actor who is Josh on Being Human. It was good to see him in something else.

He also plays a rabid STAR WARS fan in "Fanboys."

Ah, thanks, I didn't know that. I'll check for it on On Demand.

I liked this episode a lot. The marbles thing was good fun, and the Claudia/Jinks and Artie/Fr. Data stories are getting really good.

    I had one question though.

Did I imagine this, or when Fr. Data came to Artie originally about the astrolabe, didn't he says that someone used it to go back in time 24 hours? Did I imagine that?

If not, how did he know that? Wouldn't he have reset along with everyone else? Even when he found the item missing, how would he know how far back the thief went with it?

I think it always goes back 24 hours on initial use. The 2nd use to change things back is as far as needed to reach the time of the first use.

I said up thread that I thought Brother Data would end up being the uber bad and that seems even more true now. So I actually got to thinking that maybe the whole "great evil" thing is actually a self-fulfilling prophecy--i.e. Brother Data actually becomes the great evil he's trying to prevent.

In turn, perhaps there's an artifact that can imprint false memories. Brother Data stole that too to create the false Evil Claudia memory to convince Artie that it's really a portent.

Artie better watch out; the last time he clashed with Spiner, he lost his whole collection of rare artifacts (in "The Most Toys").

I hope Artie doesn't try to get him naked again.

Maybe that's why Claudia tries to kill him....

Not sure I've seen as much product placement for a tv show as on the last two episodes--regarding "Revenge." First, it's the salesgirl at the lingerie place asking Jinks if he watches the show, then it's Claudia inviting him to watch, and his asking why everyone wants him to watch the show.

But, as I like Revenge, I don't mind.

I noticed that. I wasn't sure if it was product placement or just a joke. It seems strange that Revenge would advertise on a show like Warehouse 13-- unless they're doing it everywhere.

I feel like it's a joke. (Or at least, i'm hoping.)

The more egregious product placement was a few weeks ago when they were tracking down the pipe. The whole Pete showing off the map in the car thing was a little obvious.

Do you think they are using "Revenge" as a joke since "Mrs' Frederick" has played on it? :)

If so, I would have preferred them trying to get him to watch "Lost Girl" since Aaron Ashmore has played on IT. :rommie:

^^ Yeah, that would have been a good idea.

That bit felt like it should have been on Bones. :rommie:

Oh, yeah! All the car "ads" in various shows is somewhere between annoying and funny. Do "they" really think viewers will buy a car because a fictional character drives one? Oh, stupid question. Plenty of people will do that.

I gave up on "Lost Girl." I have noticed that when Hubby is distracted, he sounds a lot like Gary on "Alphas" with disjointed or incomplete sentences. I have to tell him to stop, think of what he wants to say, and then speak. Kinda strange. Kinda amusing.

^^ I love Lost Girl. Its mixture of sexy and corny is exactly what I would do if I did a TV show. :rommie:

I would have to say the award for biggest facepalm product placement goes to WH13's big sister, Eureka, with that whole Degree antiperspirant thing in season 3.

Then there is, of course, Smallville and the Stride gum.

All in all, I don't think the Revenge bit was all that bad.

Agreed. LOST GIRL is right down my alley as well.

As for shameless product placement, I'll never forget the Bones episode where her publisher supposedly gave her a new car as a bonus. Yeah, that happens all the time! :)

But note that Myka has heroically conquered her Twizzler addiction . . . .
