Fun. And the Edison car later ran with only the boss at the wheel; maybe he was just trying to get her involved by telling a little white lie.
Now if only Syfy would pick up The Middleman ...
The car ran with two people holding on to the bar. Later, at the end, it ran without anyone holding on to the bar after a battery was hooked up (they showed the caretaker hooking it up).
I have about an hour to kill... I think I'm gonna watch this. (not the whole thing apparently)

I think it was pretty good, although I don't think it needed a full two hours for the pilot. It got a little drawn out. Hopefully it'll keep up, although with Eureka coming back I'll have other things to watch.
Yeah, the production was right outside my office building about a month ago.Was this shot in Toronto? Because I'm pretty sure I've been in the room where the Italian Professor had his office.
I said in a previous post (look up ^), when the caretaker drove the care by himself he hooked up a battery (they showed him do it).
Just adding that I liked it too! Cast was great, although I can't tell if Myka is hot or not. She looks good, but is she hot? The dude Pete, he is cool. Totally reminds me of myself, from the way he is, to his Father, to "having the vibe" (don't know what that really means but I do feel it), to alot of stuff so I liked him. Then seeing Fajo in it was great! Can't remember the actors name, so I kept telling my woman that he was Fajo. And finally seeing Claudette Wymms from The Shield that was a pleasant surprise!
I'm torn. I love the characters, but not so sure about the show itself.
I thought it was enjoyable enough to turn in again. I think it would have been better received had it been shorter; it was a bit drawn out.
It's sort of one of those things were I watched it "just cuz." It was good enough to hold my interest, but if there's any real drop in quality (which often happens from pilots to episodes), I'll probably tune out.

I agree. Condensing it down to a one hour pilot would have made it more exciting.
I was getting that vibe at the end. I hope it doesn't go down that road.

Well, she's okay in small doses.
She had some of the funnier exchanges on "Buffy."
But here BSG stuff didn't do much for me. Of course, by the time she was with the show, I was pretty much only watching it out of pity.
AFA the avatar. I actually used to have one with the hammers walking. But I couldn't find it anywhere. I checked all my backup CDs (well most of them) and didn't see it. Even tried a Google with no luck. I'm hoping I can find it by December. (30th anniversary.)

While I haven't seen the show yet, I just have to say that's a pretty faulty argument as you're ignoring the weight of the car. If two people can power the car, then obviously that's enough to carry the weight of two people plus the car. Since the car's weight will stay the same, the more people you add the fewer people (compared to the whole) will be needed to power it.

University College is really making the rounds as "Generic American University", isn't it?
It was boring. It was like a remake of Friday the 13th the series without the devil or Jack Marshak. They grab artifacts and return them to a Vault/Warehouse. They were in Vancouver again. Standard cheap scifi shit (oh, I mean SyFy shit). I kept waiting for something interesting to happen, maybe something exciting. A show like this needs at least one charismatic lead. The guy running the warehouse is not enough.

The Scifi channel combined with wet streets in the "D.C." scene just makes me assume the Vancouver area. Did the Syfy channel find a new Canadian location?
Again, this is a non-debate. They specifically showed him hooking up a car battery to the vehicle the second time he used it.
