Warehouse 13 Episode 1x01 - Grading & Discussion

It's finally here tonight at 9:00. This is the first 'SYFY' original show, so to speak. Talk about the pilot episode here!

I'm looking forward to it. I liked Joanne Kelly in The Dresden Files and it looks like the lead male actor is the guy who played Sully in Bones. Great cast when you consider they filled it out with CCH Pounder.

^

And Saul Rubinek (TNG 'The Most Toys', Unforgiven, Frasier), he's pretty good.

I've got the DVR set to record it, hope it doesn't suck.

It was alright. I'll watch again next week. I found the first hour with introducing the Warehouse interesting but the second hour of standalone adventure wasn't very grabby at all. I kept wishing they would go back to CCH or the bearded scientist.

I liked it. A lot. All of the characters were interesting, and the chemistry between Pete & Mika was great. It has an interesting premise. Can't wait for next week.

I wonder if Data is down in Warehouse 13...

Typical mediocre Sci-Fi (er, Syfy) show, is it me or do a lot of these shows all look the same?

I enjoyed it enough to give it another look next week.

Not the best TV ever but not the suckkiest either.

^Yes, it is light fare...so far. Once they got all the exposition out of the way it got a bit better.

But it's formula. It's a bit of fun. Worth another look.

I found it pretty enjoyable. I'll be turning in this summer, I just wish it was on the same night as Eureka, they seem like they would be perfect together.

Eh..I'll tell y'all when it lost me. When the three of 'em are toolin' around in the electric car for the tour of the warehouse, and she let go of the handle, and the car stopped.

Then its explained that all three of them have to hold on to the handle bar to make the car run.

So, what? Dude has just kept the car in storage waitin' for two other folks to show up so he can drive 'round the warehouse? And why just three? Seems really arbitrary...

Would it go faster if there were four of 'em in the car?

I didn't watch the whole thing, but my DVR recorded it...guess I'll go through the whole thing, see how it turns out, and may tune in next week, just 'cause of the lack of anything else to watch on a Tuesday night.

A good beginning. It reminded me a little of the X-Files, Friday the 13th: The Series, and to some extent Fringe, but not as dark as any of those shows. Though I think Mrs. Fredericks has a darker edge that might emerge as the show goes on. The cast was fine and I think were introduced quickly and made fairly distinct enough. I think the show has potential.

Was this shot in Toronto? Because I'm pretty sure I've been in the room where the Italian Professor had his office.

Kind of like a cross between The X-Files, Indiana Jones and Ghostbusters. Has potential, but will probably devolve into formulaic silliness due to SyFy budget restrictions.
