Wanderers - a short film by Erik Wernquist

Saw it over the weekend. It's spectacular and truly breathtaking.. The fact that it leverages so much existing knowledge and imagery makes it so much more realistic and feel that much more achieveable.

Would look absolutely mind blowing on IMAX.

That's wondrous. I'd love to see some Science Fiction in movies or on TV that looks and feels like that.
 
A director I know recommended it on FB ove reh weekend. I'd just seen Interstellar, Makews me want to write a real SF epic advinture, standing on new worlds.,.. That shot at the end, of the woman looking up and smiling....
 
I felt more sense of awe at that than I did with Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey. It wasn't Sagan's voice-over; it was the sense of wonder and hope behind the voice-over. That was a sense I didn't get from Neil Degrasse Tyson's Cosmos, which I liked in spite of its pessimism.
