Spoilers WandaVision discussion thread

I'd like to see them reference both. Modern Family with Wanda and the twins at home and The Office with Vision and his coworkers at, well, the office.
I also saw The Office as one of the '10s shows referenced in interviews, so that might be exactly what they're doing.
I have a hard time thinking Marvel or rather the MCU introducing Mephisto.

The MCU has been for the most part quite grounded with the usual superhero stereotype how they get powers - lab accidents, superior engineering skills etc. Due to legal reasons they couldn't use Mutants officially but this will come sooner or later.

This leaves out Magic and with Dr. Strange they did a good job MCUing Magic, i.e. it's not some mystical force but rather a skill that can be learned through hard work, studying and a little bit of talent.
Then again they already had Dormammu as an extradimensional being so the step to Mephisto might not be too big but i seriously doubt it'll be some redskinned and horned guy, that would be too far out there even for the MCU.

Right now i think it's Wanda simply going mental, it's the easiest explanation but Pietro is shooting that theory a littbe bit in the most recent episode. However knowing the MCU i think there is a large curveball coming and Wandavision might be the first giant step of establishing what the MCU will face post Thanos.
This all might have been true when they were first starting out, but ever since the first Guardians of the Galaxy, they have been getting less and less grounded, so at this point I don't think we can rule out anything from the comics.

It also proves the wisdom of not dropping the entire season at once, as they get eight weeks of free publicity instead of coming and going and on to the next show. (How many people are talking about "The Queen's Gambit" anymore, for example.)
While I agree with your overall argument, I disagree with your parenthetical example. People were talking about The Queen's Gambit for weeks after it was released.

After each episode Marvel.com has been posting a Marvel Must Haves article, featuring new merch themed around that episode. I noticed something interesting in the Must Haves for last week's episode, the Funko Pop! for "Pietro Maximoff" has his name in quotes, but Wanda and Vision don't. It seems to me like it could be a possibly spoilery indication that he really is someone other than Pietro.

Darcy said that Pietro had been recast.

Everyone outside the hex knows that it's a different dude.

His brain has been rewritten, and he's been powered up.

That could hold, after the Hex?

Crystal and Lockjaw next please.

The Lockjaw puppet/model was pretty well done, but Crystal should be recast as Amanda Seyfried.

I think Pietro was recast because her real brother is dead thus it's not like she could bring him back to life unlike VIsion. Vision was unique in that he is a machine and not human. I think it's Fox's version of the character but he has had his memories altered and replaced with Wanda's memories of him . So he can only act like the MCU Pietro as far as the limits of Wanda's knowledge of him. If he had a secret that Wanda didn't know then it died with him and is not part of this new combined Pietro. Sort of like what happened in the Arrowverse after the Crisis story where you got people with two sets of memories only Pietro right now doesn't have his Fox Movie universe memories right now because they are being suppressed like everyone else in town.

I'm still bummed we didn't get even a small reference to Holmes when they shared scenes. I guess the Russos didn't want to cram in too much since so much was going on already.
Well, to be fair, both their "Sherlock Holmes" properties (quote marks very much intended) were terrible, so, no loss there. ;) :p

How is Vision's death different from Pietro's? Dead is dead and Vision clearly shows free will ( unless Wanda manipulates reality, i.e. "rewinding a scene"). The same could apply to Pietro, the biggest question though is why it's physically the X-Men universe Pietro ( and Wanda is not noticing it and was very shocked when Pietro appeared at all).

That one to me is currently the biggest mystery, second up is if it's Wanda's mind deteoriorating on her own due to the psychological shock of losing Vision or if this has been done to her by an outside force.

I hope we get at least some answers until the season finale but then again these answers might open up even bigger questions.

Vision is dead but you still have a robotic body left behind as opposed to a decaying corpse. Maybe his memories are even preserved and all Wanda did was give him emotions. He from a soul angle might be more of a copy of Vision than real Vision but it's a very good copy. Good enough to even be a living being as well. Jason

Wanda created the twins within the confines of her "show", so i guess she could recreate Pietro as well.

Twins are a interesting question. It is possible that the sperm came from that devil character people talk about so a new thought. What if Vision is also possessed by him. And how they were created is getting into Rosemary Baby territory. Jason

Master Pandemonium, a Movie Producer with Demon limbs, sold his soul to Mephisto. Mephisto cut the soul into five pieces because he's an asshole, and lost track of where he put them. Wanda's subconscious built the boys bodies all by herself, but they only exist so long as she is actively thinking about them. They vanish when she's distracted. She used two of the segments of Master Pandemonium's soul to make souls for her kids.

(Wikipedia says that it's Mephisto, but I've read these books half a dozen times... 30 years ago.)

15 years later, the Young Avengers happened, and it's just a matter of reincarnation. Physically not her kids, and still the souls of a failed actor, with a fleeting maternal attachment to Wanda .

In Ultimates, a mirror universe story about the Avengers, it's clear that there's consequential twincest happening.

Considering that Billy is a speedster, is it possible that Wanda used Pietro's sperms?

They are twins. Who‘s to say, she doesn’t have the speed gene, too? In her case it‘s recessive, though.
