Spoilers WandaVision discussion thread

I think they're going a little more broad with respect to what they are homaging going forward.

Episode 3 mostly had a Brady Bunch aesthetic with respect to the internal sets. The only real Partridge Family influence was the colored glass windows that were there to evoke the color scheme of the Partridge Family band school bus.

But for example, nowhere in the episode did anyone do a musical number at all; and the family rock band / musical aspect was a big part of the Partridge Family; but that was nowhere to be seen in this episode.

Also it still had a Bewitched vibe; but as Wanda is the Scarlet Witch, that's not something these sitcom homages are going to drop

So yeah for the '80s I think we're going to see a Family Ties / Mork & Mindy aesthetic with respect to background set design and costumeing.

But going forward I don't think you're going to see the sitcom elements from a specific sitcom as closely intertwined as we did in the first two episodes paying more direct homages to both the Dick Van Dyke show and Bewitched.

And I'm really fine with that because honestly, the the sitcom homages while an aspect of the story aren't really the point of the story.
Ok, I'm an old guy and know these sitcoms backwards and forwards.

The first episode was all Dick Van Dyke. The intro, the arrangement of the furniture, the kitchen set, all nodding to that show.

Second episode was Bewitched. No doubt about it. The set layout wasn't the same, but it hit the high points.

Third episode was Brady Bunch. Go find the HGTV remodel of the actual house and you'll see it all.

I'm not getting into plot stuff or how it all fits in the timeline, but they're doing a great job with the visuals.

IMO that staircase was pure Brady Bunch- one of most distinctive things in their home.

Still cannot figure out if Wanda has created this pocket world on her own to deal with the loss of Vision or if someone else created it for her with an unknown purpose in mind. She has the power to control parts of it but some things seem to be from the outside

Oh! One thing I keep forgetting to point out is Wanda's use of the term "synthezoid", the first time that term has been used in the MCU, it has long since been the term to describe Vision in the comics.

Yeah, that keeps standing out to me as well but I, too, kept forgetting to mention it. Definitely a nice touch and I'm glad it has finally been mentioned.

You know if the get to the 90's, how in the world do they not do 3rd Rock from the Sun.

I've noticed an interesting new tagline that keeps showing up on Marvel's WandaVision posts on Instagram and Twitter, "The signal is out of this world". So could this mean there's something from outside Earth or our reality that is involved in all of this?
That seems like the kind of thing that seems innocent, but could be a massive clue to what is going on.
Marvel has been doing a series of "Marvel Must Have" articles highlighting merchandise for each episode.
Episode 1
Episode 2
Episode 3
They've also revealed that they've made a real life version of the Strucker watch.

1970s sitcoms (and later) are not to my taste, but I enjoyed this latest episode nonetheless. It's interesting to see the little cracks in this fantasy world.

The only promo that I've seen with that slogan on it featured Monica, and I took that to be a wink to the audience that she had been removed from Wanda's bubble world.

Looks a lot like Family Ties to me, especially how Vision is dressed.
The stained glass is very Mork and Mindy.
